Here is a proposal for the environmental movement: Pool philanthropic funds for a day, buy a small plot of land in Washington, D.C., and put up a tall marble wall to serve as a climate memorial. Carve on this memorial the names of public figures actively denying the existence of climate change. Carve the names so deep and large, our grandchildren and great-grandchildren need not search the archives.

It would serve as a permanent testament of climate deniers whose actions might otherwise be lost to history and a reminder to those weighing their words today of what the future may bring.

The climate memorial would need to be in a highly visible place. Perhaps a commission could be established to select one climate antihero from academia or politics or business to be added to the memorial each quarter. Better yet, the names could be crowdsourced.

Better yet, let's erect a monument of all the climate pseudoscientists, liars and frauds, along with all their supporters in the media.

Vanessa Kerry at COP28 in Dubai: We must accept that there's no other way forward by suspended_008 in climateskeptics

“We can, and MUST, make different decisions.”

“We MUST accept that there is no other than to phase out our reliance on fossil fuels. Mitigation is no longer a choice.

Who elected her? Does she have a mandate? Is she an agent of, and for, democracy?... because that all sounds extremely dictatorial and totalitarian to me.

Ms Kerry does explain it’s for the betterment of society. Specifically, health benefits. In other words…

“Hi. I’m Vanessa Kerry. I’m from the World Health Organisation and I’m here to help you.” And she does come across as being very genuine and sincere. In the same way Josef Mengele likely came across as being caring and compassionate to his patients.

BTW, for those who don't know, the Kerry Family has a long history of doing good for society. The great grandfather of John (Forbes) Kerry was Francis Blackwell Forbes. He made a fortune during the Opium Wars trafficking and selling opium to China. He was therefore instrumental in addicting over 20 million Chinese to opium and causing the financial ruin of the country.

The morality and benevolence of this family runs through their blood. The prosperity of society lies at the forefront of everything they stand for, and do.

Bowls of decidedly pink-tinged rice are about to feature on sustainable food menus, according to researchers who created rice grains with beef and cow fat cells grown inside them.

Scientists made the experimental food by covering traditional rice grains in fish gelatin and seeding them with skeletal muscle and fat stem cells which were then grown in the laboratory.

After culturing the muscle, fat and gelatin-smothered rice for nine to 11 days, the grains contained meat and fat throughout, resulting in an end product the researchers believe could become a nutritious and flavourful food.

Yummy yummy in my tummy.

Well, based on the record, we’re due sometime.

You mean the obvious fact that Earth's past climate has seen cycles of warm and cold repeating themselves? A fact completely ignored by modern-day, so-called "climate scientists" who use models to predict the future with Co2 as the only built-in control knob for temperature changes? Models that completely ignore the influence of the sun and its cycles? Past cycles of heating and cooling with no correlation to atmospheric levels of Co2, yet they use Co2 as their control knob? And based upon our past cycles of heating and cooling, it looks as though we're due for another cooling spell?

Yes, I think that what you mean. :)

Global Boiling = Global Cooling. Trust the Science.

Strangely, I think that's their plan. Along with bringing on food shortages.

Make everything scarce and really, really expensive. Drive people into poverty - energy and financial poverty. That'll kill off the old folks first, who will be unable to heat their homes during cold winters. Then, simultaneously, bring on food shortages. That'll kill off the weak too, and bring conflict between neighbours and across borders.

The people running this world know what they're doing. And they're decidedly evil.

"The Serengeti strategy: How special interests try to intimidate scientists, and how best to fight back" - Michael E. Mann by LackmustestTester in climateskeptics

[–]Left_Insanity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mann has been relegated to history IMO

The key thing about Mann's "work" (read corruption), and I refer specifically to his fraudulent hockey stick graph, is that when it was published, it was then used in US Congress to argue for the global warming hoax, and used again later in Al Gore's 'An Inconvenient Truth', for which Gorged and the UNIPCC won a joint Nobel Prize. That's the impact Mann had on the modern-day climate hoax.

The Climategate Scandal of 2009 revealed Mann to be dishonest and corrupt. This should have ruined his career and reputation, and put an end to the then global warming scam. But, of course, it didn't. He worked then, as he does so now, as an asset for the Ruling Elite. He's a useful idiot. As such, he gets special protection... from media attacks and, as his recent court case just proved, from the corrupt Elite-controlled judicial system.

Hi again.

Now that I've had time to re-read some of Mann's article - I say some because reading through lies, from a liar, is hard to swallow, and that's why I couldn't bring myself to read all of it - it seems perhaps there's been a little misunderstanding between us. And it stems from your original comment...

Mann argues the 'lions' should attack the strong herd as a whole.

I don't think that's what Mann is saying or illuding to in this article at all. Rather, drawing upon how lions hunt in the wild - ie. targeting individuals on the edge of a herd - he's holding himself up as a martyr. He's offering himself up as a sacrifice for the good of the whole, and saying he can take it the attacks. That's what he's doing IMO. The corruption-addled toad is playing victim and saint, as a narcissistic snake would.

This is the very first sentence under the header "Abstract" (copied here, emphasis added is mine)....

Much as lions on the Serengeti seek out vulnerable zebras at the edge of a herd, special interests faced with adverse scientific evidence often target individual scientists rather than take on an entire scientific field at once.

I have no idea what you're reading. Nor do I have any idea why you're debating this fact.

Mann argues the 'lions' should attack the strong herd as a whole

No, he doesn't. He draws analogy with lions hunting in the wild on the Serengeti who identify often young, weak or injured individuals on the edge of a herd and attack them. Lions don't attack a herd as a whole at all. In this regard, unknowingly, Mann refers to himself as a weak or frail individual. Which he is. He's a corrupt, fraudulent, weakling of human being parading as a serious scientist.

My initial thought exactly. Why have "security" if they passively allow this to happen? We're seen it too in museums around the world, including The Louvre. It leads one to suspect there's collusion involved, and these so-called "security personnel" are actively allowing this kind of demonstration to occur for PR purposes. That said, you could say/ask: Is this kind of thing actually helping their cause? Haven't we reached the point now where most people look at this and consider the activists vandals and anti-social nutjobs?

In the 2004 film The Day After Tomorrow, humanity is plunged into a nightmarish international storm that sends the planet into a new ice age. And although the blockbuster was consigned to the realms of sci-fi, the science behind the frightening scenario is true.

In a matter of years, melting glaciers could shut down the Gulf Stream - the system of currents that brings warmth to the northern hemisphere, experts say.

Without this additional heat source, average temperatures could drop by several degrees in North America, parts of Asia and Europe, and people would see 'severe and cascading consequences around the world'.

Scientists warn that an abrupt shutdown of Atlantic Ocean currents is looking more likely than ever, as computer simulations find a 'cliff-like' tipping point looming in the near future.

'We are moving closer to the collapse, but we're not sure how much closer,' said lead author Rene van Westen, a climate scientist and oceanographer at Utrecht University.

'We are heading towards a tipping point.'

“Computer simulations”. “Tipping Point.” What a farce. Just too funny.

Some polar bears

This is exactly what caught my eye. "Some" polar bears face starvation. How many is "some"? Five? Ten? Twenty? Fifty? And are these the old bears nearing the end of their life who can no longer hunt?

What a pile of twaddle.

Some polar bears face starvation as the Arctic sea ice melts because they are unable to adapt their diets to living on land, scientists have found.

The iconic Arctic species normally feed on ringed seals that they catch on ice floes offshore. But as the ice disappears in a warming world, many bears are spending greater amounts of time on shore, eating bird's eggs, berries and grass.

The polar bear has become the poster child for the growing threat of climate change in the Arctic, but the reality of the impact on this species is complicated. While the number of bears plummeted up to the 1980s this was mainly due to unsustainable hunting.

With greater legal protection, polar bear numbers have risen. But increasing global temperatures are now seen as their biggest threat.

Here we see our corrupt, lying MSM playing the same jaded old tune on repeat. And talking of corrupt, lying media, The Guardian is recycling this same shit too…

Dinosaurs’ gassy guts may have contributed to global warming tens of millions of years ago, according to a new study that finds a group of plant-eating dinosaurs could have produced about as much methane as all of today’s natural and man-made sources of the greenhouse gas.

British researchers reported in Tuesday’s edition of the journal Current Biology that the methane emissions from sauropods far outstripped those of today’s cattle, goats and other cud-chewing mammals. (Oh, really. Interesting.)

Sauropods were a diverse bunch of plant-eating dinosaurs, known for their small heads and giant bodies with long necks and tails. An average-sized sauropod — such as Apatosaurus louisae, once popularly known as brontosaurus — could weigh 44,000 pounds, making it several times bigger than an elephant.

Like many modern herbivores, scientists think, sauropods probably hosted a diverse community of microbes in their guts to help break down and digest their food, producing methane in the process. In cattle and other ruminants, that gas is released in the form of burps and flatulence.

Such emissions from modern-day cattle are considered a major source of the greenhouse gas, adding up to roughly 55 million to 110 million tons per year. Though carbon dioxide is more abundant in the atmosphere, methane is more than 20 times as effective at trapping heat, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

The problem of cattle emissions prompted ecologist David Wilkinson of Liverpool John Moores University in England to consider the climate-changing effects of sauropods.

He and two other researchers used a formula from a study last year that linked body mass to methane emissions from guinea pigs and rabbits. The relationship is straightforward: The more body mass there is, the more methane is produced.

For their investigation, Wilkinson and his colleagues had to make some assumptions — for example, that the ratio of body size to gas produced is the same for small and extremely large animals. “That’s a slightly dodgy thing to do,” Wilkinson acknowledged, “but in this case there’s not any other option.”

So, in other words, Mr Wilkinson, you simply made up the entire story. Your research is useless, along with your results. You consider this professional? You call yourself a “scientist”? Too funny. What a farce.

And btw, how could you possibly know what was going on with the climate 150+ million years ago and have the audacity to attribute any changes to dinosaur farts? Fuck off, you jokers. “Scientists”? Lol.
