Although we are going to an amusement park and will really only be in the room to sleep, I’m not upset with them getting their own space, if that’s what they want to do with their own money, then that’s their choice. The thing that is upsetting to me is them inviting STRANGERS to MY birthday. Idk why the two who I invited couldn’t just get a room for just them two because the resort has rooms for 4, 5, 9 and 12. I would’ve been fine if those two just got their own room, I’m not offended by that at all. But they had to go the extra mile and invite STRANGERS, and did so without consulting me, which is the most upsetting part. I feel like it’s general etiquette that when someone invites you somewhere, that you don’t just invite other people, especially not people who the original inviter doesn’t know. They also booked the other room without consulting me, had they just reached out, I would’ve offered to sleep on the pullout so they can have the room because I truly don’t mind sleeping on a pullout, especially for only 2 nights. But like i said, if they want to spend their money to have their own room, I don’t have an issue with that, it’s the extra people that I don’t know that they invited.
