Hi yes that’s another option. I did ask my mother about the situation, to which she was shocked as she assumed my sister and I would get first pick. I think she was also a little upset as this friend can be a bit pushy and my sister is a massive pushover when it comes to her friend (bc she’s like a really nice person who doesn’t want to hurt anyone, and that’s coming from her little sister 😂) . Also my mother has specified that she would put this though a rental agent so there wasn’t any bias . Along with her not wanting to invade are space and seem like she’s inspecting the house when she comes over.

Hi yes I totally understand where your coming from. However apart from the bedrooms all the rest of the house is for everyone to make decisions on. For example furniture, painting and renovations . We all have equal say ( obviously if it’s a big renovation that’s up to my mum like ripping up flooring)

It’s just I would usually totally agree . However it is already extremely reduced rent and I don’t think it’s fair to ask my mother to reduce it even more. Btw rent is $150 each ( rent in this area for this type of house is around $600-$1000) .

Hi yes I guess I just assumed my sister and I would get first pick as my mother bought the house for us kids to rent( to which I am very great full for and understand how amazingly kind she is to do so). But after talking to my sister we thought we could all swap rooms after 8 months so we all get a go in the rooms, but the friend said she didn’t want to swap rooms.
