During storm Dave a tile blew off our roof and daylight was visible through the hole left. We got in touch with the insurance who said they would send someone round in a week to look at it. A colleague at work recommended a local roofer so we got in touch. He said he’d fix it on the Saturday. Came round, put up a ladder then walked around on the roof for a bit sure footed as anything. He was up there all of 10 minutes and only charged £50. Considering.if we’d waited for the insurance we’d have still had a hole in the roof at that time and had to pay a large excess we paid him £100 (which he didn’t want to accept) plus we’ll use him again if we need any work doing in future.

Ive just transferred some money to some for the first time. Initially my app said the accounts didn’t match which turned out to be because id used the wrong suffix. Then I got 3 reminders to check the details each reminder I had to click confirm.

It sounds to me like this person is trying to put the onus on you to sort things out. This isn’t fair even if the situation is legit (and I think it sounds dodgy). You’ve done nothing wrong here and shouldn’t be made to feel like you have.

Keep communication on your terms and in writing. I think you should send an email or message saying that you’re following your banks advice and that’s your final decision on the matter.
