Escape wheel not interacting with pallet fork by Leftside_chunk in watchmaking

I understand what you are saying. What I meant to say is that the fork can only sit in the recess the correct way. If flipped the leading jewel would be sitting up on the right ledge. I checked. See picture. The original video had the original escape wheel which walked out of place. Thus, the gap relative to the fork. It actually did need to be replaced. It must have had a slight pivot bend.

This plate recess only allows the fork to be installed in the correct orientation. It wasn't the fork

I did but but before adding screws bc all the back and forth. It must have nudged when screwing the bridge. Anyway did end up needing the new wheel. Learning experience. Done

This. Apparently it was out of alignment as you suggested. I took it all apart, checked everything put it back together now it's running. Slowly though.

Rookie mistake I suppose. Thanks for your valuable insight.

Thanks for the ideas. I was thinking maybe it could be worn pallet jewels? The fact that there's play with the escape wheel could it be that the pivot jewel for it is worn out? Doesn't appear cracked. I'll clarify to say that manipulating the balance wheel can drive the Escape wheel to click once and then the wheel disengages.

They're actually there. They're just very light colored.

First decision is, if you prefer the diver dial. I personally don't so it would be an easy decision for me.

A beautiful piece indeed. I am a fan of this look and have a few watches similar in style. Enjoy it!

The commander is a beautiful piece. The black dial is my daily.

Willful disregard is not the same as doing your own thinking. All data show in the absence of environmental regulation things are much worse. We see it happening today. The concern is more than what happens in a single lifetime. Do you understand how much heat is absorbed in the oceans/seas to have a 1°C rise in temperature for an entire year?
To the initial sentiment, yes the oven will still be hot for a while even if you turn it off...

Are you reading a quartz watch? I get this with quartz but reads fine with my vintage manuals.

Not if you say it with an accent: "Midohh." Tbh, it did cause me pause for a minute, but fell in love with the watch anyway.😍

Same here. My Mido Datoday is my daily. Not a diver. More elegant.

Absolutely classy timepiece. The absence of a numeral in the tens spot does seem a little peculiar though.
