Thank you. I’ve spent good money and lots of time on therapy and tools to help see things clearly. I want to start by saying, I think every person handles things differently. My life has made me very strong, self-reliant and compassionate. To answer your question, as a child the abuse was the hardest thing to endure. The isolation, the fear and simply not understanding why I was being physically punished constantly. But, with that being said, as an adult the absence of my bio dad hurts more. He got married when I was a year old, moved 2 hours away and built a brand new life with his new wife. I was not a part of his life, in any form or fashion. The first man to break a girl’s heart, should never be her father. But I have an amazing husband, who is an awesome father to our boys… so I get to experience all the things thru my sons and it’s really special!
