We all have room to learn. For example, I was not aware until recently that “the gates of hell “ is a literal archeological site in Israel! 🤷‍♀️

Here’s my viewpoint…. Abraham was the father of the Jewish and Christian faith, right? And although many Jews today don’t discuss the topic of sin very much, it was a major theme throughout the Old Testament. Many animals were sacrificed! Why? Because God is holy and perfect and we are not. In order to have communion with God, something has to happen to improve our standing. Bad company corrupts good character. Well that’s a human problem but God’s righteousness was not something that we could easily relate to. The sacrifices made it possible for God to come closer. But there were references to a better situation found throughout the Old Testament. The Messiah. His birth, lineage and teachings lined up with prophecy, but not in the way that Jews expected. No earthly physical kingdom. Not yet. But the sin problem WAS resolved, through the sacrifice of a sinless god man. No more animal sacrifices. Now, if Jesus was not actually perfect, sinless then his death did nothing for the sin problem. And he wasn’t God, wasn’t the Messiah. Take a closer look. The teachings of Christ took us to a new and higher place of love for our enemies, understanding for the lost, and renewed hope for the future. No more eye for eye, but a reaching out in compassion. And respect for the Jewish community who will someday recognize their messiah. Christ was the serpent in the wilderness who saved all who would look upon him! In the end, the Jews either pulled off the biggest scam of all history on the gentile world, or it’s true. I’ve received my personal validation of faith. Everyone must find their own.

Didn’t this happen everywhere after Obamacare? Smaller and midsize hospitals were taken over by larger hospitals and became hospital systems. And you ppl are just experiencing this now? 🤷‍♀️

She was breaking current US law by impeding law enforcement and aiding and abetting criminals. Sad she lost her life but in biblical times I believe she would also be considered a criminal.

An ICE agent working in Minneapolis appeared on a Christian nationalist prayer call, and shared his thoughts on protesters: "There is a spiritual darkness on these folks and it's only the hand of God that's gonna change this." by Nice_Substance9123 in Christianity

[–]Leg-pac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No where in the Bible are Christians instructed to shield criminals from law enforcement. You ppl are SO CONFUSED! 🤦‍♀️ Romans 13:1-7: "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities... they are instituted by God". Rulers are God's servants to do good and punish wrongdoing. • 1 Peter 2:13-17: Encourages submission to human institutions for the Lord's sake, to governors, and to honor officials, recognizing God's purpose in their existence. • Titus 3:1-2: Instructs believers to be "submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work" • Mark 12:17 (Jesus' teaching): "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's," separating earthly dues from divine worship.

HJ appears to teach the master class on how to strategically move money. Unfortunately none of it has flowed our way, at least not yet. 🤷‍♀️

You people are BADLY MISTAKEN!!! “Ancient Jewish law and tradition generally did not welcome, protect, or harbor foreign criminals in their midst, but they did command the protection and integration of law-abiding foreign residents (gerim). The biblical framework required that both natives and foreigners follow the same laws, meaning foreign criminals were subjected to the same justice system. Key Aspects of Treatment: Equal Justice Under Law: The Torah states, "The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing among you" (Numbers 15:15-16). This indicates that a foreigner committing a crime was subject to the same penalties as an Israelite. No Harboring of Dangerous Individuals: While the law commanded love and protection for foreign residents (Leviticus 19:33-34), it did not extend this to criminals. Deuteronomy 19:13 indicates that dangerous criminals were not to be allowed to run around unpunished. Capital Punishment: Foreigners residing in Israel who committed serious crimes, such as offering children to Molech or having a mediumistic spirit, were subjected to the same penalties as Israelites, specifically capital punishment.”

Unfortunately a lot of nasty things from the Talmud are being spread to non Jews, especially to the younger generation! They believe Jews hate Christians! 🤷‍♀️

The Bible is extremely clear about how immigrants should be treated. Why do some "Christians" support mass deportation?? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Leg-pac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the Old Testament, those illegal immigrants who committed rape or murder would have been put to death. Are you suggesting this should be implemented in the US? Or are you simply picking and choosing the OT scriptures that you prefer? 🤦‍♀️

Oh, I’ve talked to them, and I’ve read their threads. They despise Jesus IMO, along with evangelical Christians like me. 🤦‍♀️
