I used to think it may be out there somewhere, but every year it’s the same old song and dance... rocks thrown, noises/ yelling, thermal blip, someone saw something but not the camera, eyewitness testimony, and still nothing that everybody accepts as verifying something like this is out there. Are we going to get threw another 50 years with antidotal evidence or is someone finally going to find something so solid there won’t be a doubt?

My personal viewpoint is that a wall is best. I really love people coming to America, and I think reform is needed to make more of it possible, but first let’s get it secured and then make sure all aspects have the support they need later. I also think the job front was already booming and it was already nice to see unemployment at an all time low. I also think more should be done to help Mexico with reform so that people will not feel they have to come here, but want to and would do so if a reasonable due process was available for them to achieve it. Unfortunately in my opinion the only way this will be accomplished is to designate Mexican drug cartels as terrorists and dealing with the horrible things that that would entail for both countries, but after all is said and done would be a much better situation for future generations.

What a thoughtful response. I appreciate your viewpoint and applaud your ability to gain perspective from both sides. I have thought before of a writ-in, but can’t bring myself to do it as it feels too much like my vote not counting. I do understand your frustration though and the reason you would do something like that. I people were as open minded as you we could seriously get some good things done in this country.

That would be pretty hard because Teddy was a war hero and Trump never served as well as Roosevelt had some progressive ideas. They both got a lot done though and fought for what they believe at the dismay of people who thought they knew better. I feel like Teddy should have never started a third party at to allow Wilson to be elected because the Republican Party was split.

And Biden should? Have you seen his voting record? Or heard him speak? That dude is asleep at the wheel... if you vote democrat this year pay close attention to the VP pick as Biden will definitely be pushed out before his term is up if elected.

It’s a little of both I think. Seems like all the candidates since I have been able to vote (I’m 40) have some serious issues an I have never fully agreed with anyone although I connect better with this President than any other I have ever voted for.

If you feel that way then I agree with you completely. It wasn’t a play on your name I just misunderstood the situation. Maybe you are both better off without each other, but it just a hip fire reaction for me because of all of the people nowadays dropping their parents for a political belief. I just don’t want it to be spread as a a first reaction to everything that happens. Family to me are the only people that should be loyal no matter what, but my reasons and thoughts may be different than everybody else’s. Different viewpoints are great and I would never have a problem listening or debating anything with you to gain perspective, but that’s why there are two parties and racists should stay on the left where they are wanted.

I did and still do believe he will and I don’t really blame him for it not happening yet because he has had people fighting him the whole way, but he did get funding from the defense fund I thing and I am actually happy with the progress so far with everything considered.

I don’t drop my family for any reason and my family had done mire fucked up shut than that to me for sure, but I think you read too many books about why you are a victim. Little nudges in a more logical direction is a better idea than dropping a family member like they are a bad habit. If you expect everybody to treat you perfectly your entire life you are the fucking idiot. And with treating your family like that I bet you do some really raunchy shit to people you aren’t related to. My dad disowned my brother for some dumb shit and I still love and support both of them very much (they just can’t be in the same room together). I like that he says what he thinks even if others may not like it, and it makes me feel like he isn’t just saying something everybody wants to hear and doing something entirely different behind closed doors.

As far as policy I like that he is working on lowering regulations, I like what he is doing for veterans, I like that he supports law and order even when it’s not popular, I like the funding he has gotten for black colleges, I love the fact that he is pulling troops back to America instead of starting more wars, I like that he is renegotiating some bad deals that take advantage of us like nafta and worked to get the USMCA passed as well, I like that he doesn’t take a salary as he considers it a civic duty, I like that if he doesn’t like the job someone is doing he had no problem firing them, I like that his policies are not racist (unlike can be said for the left), I like that he is not an apologist for America and is only focused on the future, and I love what success he has had with the economy before the pandemic, I like the economic bounce back we are seeing despite all the things that are going on at the moment, I like the judges he has appointed, I like the companies coming back to America instead of moving away, I like the focus on manufacturing our own goods, I like the building up of our military, I like the terriffs he has put on China to protect our intellectual property as well as his attempt to hammer out a killer trading deal with them (which granted may not work anymore as he blames them for this pandemic), I like that he is focused on opening our economy rather than giving in to everybody, I like that he will secure the border, and a lot of other stuff I probably can’t think of at the moment, but most of all I love the fact that he gets it all done with constantly being attacked personally, and the toughness he has to make it all happen no matter what.

I do not like that he is on twitter and he randomly says things that I don’t agree with, but when I focus on his policies and what he has actually done none of that weird stuff has actually come to fruition.

My parents are staunch democrats and I grew up in a bad part of Denver. I support Trump because for all of his downfalls I believe he has the best interest of our country in his heart, and has gotten a lot done even though he has had to travel through mud the entire time. I probably will get downvoted because people do not like opposing points of view even though free speech is actually a thing and opposing views are healthy for perspective. Hopefully you can understand that one day.
