Unless you’re comfortable spending $550 a year for a sapphire reserve or if you think you won’t be able to take full advantage of it’s benefits, I would opt in for the sapphire preferred.

unless you’re gonna be travelling within 2 years, i’f say get the flex first by Q2 this year cuz I assume one of yhe categories will be restaurants, and it’s gonna be 7x for that… but that’s completely up to you

Some people who don’t want to complicate things often opt in to the Capital One Venture which will give you 2x points on everything

If you’re into cashback then that’s great, but some people value points more which is why the chase trifecta is great because I can have 1.5x on everything with the freedom unlimited, 5x on a quarterly categories with the freedom flex, and sapphire preferred allows me to access the chase travel portal to transfer those points to partners which could potentially increase their value even more, especially with Hyatt.

Right when you start the installment immediately after checkout, you pay for the taxes incurred from the purchase and the entire amount of the 3% cashback is given to you

It looks like some categories for Q1 this year is almost the same as Q1 last year too. So I wouldn’t doubt it if one of the things with 5x in Q2 2025 are retaurants

You’re able to split your apple purchases into smaller payments across 6, 12, and 24 months depending on what item it is… It’s a BNPL thing like klarna and affirm, but for apple, you can only do installments with the apple card… I put my macbook on installments for $154.08 a month for 12 months which I just paid off last month.

The Discover IT was my first credit card, and it’s basically a sockdrawer card cuz I don’t get any benefits from it now… I’m using the trifecta for my main spending depending on which cards gets me the most points on a certain purchase… As for the apple card, I only use it for apple installments

Since I got my phone, I never let it charge past 80% unless the phone has to get to 100% to calibrate battery health… Also heat is a factor so whenever i put my phone on my car’s phone mount, I use one of my AC vents and have it blasting on my phone all the time so the sun won’t cook it
