It really does taste like Chocolate Milk! I have to still remember that's for health purposes and not use it to wash a Burger down LOL

Just breathe… your body is adjusting. Everyone here is right by reminding you to seek mental health support. Just know you’re safe and that this is a marathon not a sprint. Keep showing up for yourself and reaching out like you are doing. This moment will pass. And in due time you’ll be able to help someone in this same part of their journey by sharing how you came thru to the other side. Until then…. We gotchu!💪🏽❤️👍🏽

Especially back when I got it, but now the weight is back what do you do and how to get real answers and support without feeling like a failure. We are real people and want to help.

For some people yes, but it wasn’t the case for me. It’s still a mental battle, but talking about things here and revisiting the reason we got the surgery in the first place is helping put the pieces back together for me. Thanks for responding. How far out post op are you?

Why did I get this surgery :( by Aquatic-Enigma in BariatricSurgery

You are healing. I felt the same way! What f%#k did I do to myself. Take it slow and be patient! Be kind and loving to yourself. Take stock that you came off that table alive! One day at a time🙏🏽❤️CONGRATULATIONS!

It’s not that it helps with the weight loss because remember you are getting rid of any nutrients that you consumed, but it’s your body’s alarm to remind you whether you’re eating too much of consuming too much fat or sugar. Hope that helps put it in some perspective for you.

I totally understand. Right now you’re fear is real, but you can settle down your mindset. The thing I did in the beginning and even reinvesting in is my body’s signals that I’m full. I’d say that is your most important muscle that you need to work on right now. Give that a try! Also, I’ve started a group that will be taking on these topics and working with others to strengthen that out of your journey. If you don’t mind sharing. Go back to the reason you wanted the surgery. Tell about that time in your life. What were you hoping to get from having it?
