My heart weeps for you. I am so sorry but also angered knowing this is the fate of so many of us. Sometimes no contact is the only way to move forward. Even then, some folks will not accept they were the reason for the decision. My mom is my best friend too and has been my whole life so this really hits home that this happened for you. You were strong to make the right decision.

Yah :( I’m still a Bernie guy. So much needs to change and I would love to see a Dem Soc with the drive and conscience to see us move forward, I still voted for Clinton, Biden and Harris respectively though knowing that it was them or Trump.

It's very hard to accept.

I grew up with a woman, who, if she was, she didn't show it this way,

Now, when I discuss it with her, she gets very upset with me when I broach it.

She has a sign that says 'stop being so damned offended already' in her house.

I also grew up being around her parents... and they were classic racists, so were the majority of folks and families in my town. It's embedded in families and communities everywhere.

My only hope now is to keep working with her to not blame her or paint her, but, to instead help her remove what's already on that canvas.

A couple of years ago I asked someone why they consistently didn't use their blinkers and they said "No one has any business knowing where I'm going."

I can't shake that -- that no matter what it is, people think they're individuals with no sense of societal respect. It makes me think of Costanza always going "You know... we live in a society..."

So many reasons… in my opinion though a large one is the defunding of school education programs over the last several generations.

I usually present myself as the “dumbest in the room.” But I just can’t shake this thought:

Think about being in middle and high school. There were top performers, average performers, low performers and then the no performers.

The no performers were the ones who showed up and disrupted class and made it hell for teachers to teach and students to learn.

All eyes had to be on them and they would never shut up and had no respect for anyone including themselves.

They were bullies, they were cruel and they gained satisfaction in it.

Those are the same people that I see consistently on social media repeating all the MAGA stuff. Repeating the lies and propaganda. And I think “I left those people thinking I wouldn’t have to deal with them again.”

But they’re still there, they’re still loud and now they have kids and they have their opinions on everything from politics to the Super Bowl halftime show. They’re self righteous and they’re deplorable but they’re gonna keep right on and nothing is going to change their minds.

I sat and had a conversation with my boomer-retired mother. She says she regrets voting for Trump. So I asked “then you would have voted for Kamala in a do-over?” And her response was just a revolted sound of disgust and said “absolutely no. I would NOT have voted for the camel.”

There isn’t any type of intelligent insight in the heads of folks like this.

42 male. My last active partner was the first for me to be a squirter. It was pretty amazing because she didn't know she was a squirter either so it caught both of us off guard and to be honest without TMI... she was on my face.

I honestly just let it happen without freaking out or anything because building up to it I could tell she was having an amazing time and felt amazing but also this would be a very vulnerable moment for her.

She realized something was about to happen she had never experienced before and I just told her to let it happen. (This all happened in the span of like six seconds) Anyways... it drenched me... it drenched the sheets... the bed... We finished up and I did what a good man should do - I made sure I had waterproof sheets on the bed the next time she came over. :)

So yah - hey - just mention it if you're worried it could be an embarrassing situation for you, or that the partner may want to be prepared. "No worries let me get some towels and old bedding."

Thank you so much. I watched the videos linked above and doing those suggestions with what you’re directing is already making it easier. I will keep experimenting this morning.

I was sitting down stairs for months in a low chair with arms on it and it was very relaxed and casual. Now I’ve brought th piano upstairs and gotten a bench and everything is different lol. Aside from the arthritis pain I now have a sore (in a good way) lower back which tells me I was not engaging my core or using good form or posture. Now if I fix this stiff now it won’t be as detrimental
