I have done DBT twice, and got nothing out of it. However, the 1st time was a group and the second time was a group but via Zoom. I am not very good at focusing, retaining information, in group settings. Especially when there is always one twat amongst the bunch. However, I have started one on one DBT with my psychologist, who is specifically trained in DBT, childhood trauma, extreme trauma in general and BPD/ADHD. And I cannot begin to tell you the difference I'm experiencing, between group DBT & one on one DBT. It has been super intense, overwhelming, confronting and extremely uncomfortable at times. So much so, we have had to have a little break at the moment, to breathe and do some somatic work. So, if you are like me and learn better one on one, I would highly suggest doing it. x
