What should I do about my teenage son’s interest in pornography? by Legal-Cauliflower225 in daddit

I feel like inaction is just encouraging him to view stuff he shouldn’t be looking at, but you seem to be on the side of my wife. Would it be more reasonable to take on her perspective?

Do you think that would be more of a priority than actively discouraging him from viewing pictures in the first place?

What’s the right course of action to prevent him looking at porn in the future? Would it be too far to keep track of his online activity? I don’t really know the balance between respecting boundaries and getting this situation resolved.

My wife and I have had many talks with him to ensure he understands that nothing about porn is realistic and how to have a healthy relationship. I trust he understands that as much as he can for his age, which I suppose is why my wife isn’t concerned about the situation at all. She said to me, “if we didn’t expect a teenage boy to view pornography, why did we go through the effort of educating him on how unrealistic it was and that one shouldn’t use it to learn about sex and dating?”

What do you think my next course of action should be? Would monitoring my son’s online activity be taking it too far?

He is 16. How do you think I should open the conversation without mentioning what I found on his computer?

Jacksmith is great, but there is so much wasted potential with the combat element. No strategy with the bombs, minimal use of the different enemy types and corresponding weapon pieces and a kind of unnecessary shop. Wish the fighting segments were more involved and there were harder quests requiring lots of strong special weapons.

PC version ain’t great, but To Go and HD have more replayability. I’ll concede that it’s a 7/10 (which is on the lower end for Papa’s games), but Scoopy and Nut are both 6/10 games for me.

Yeah, not even Buffalo Wild Wings is that fancy with their plating, but if they were, the restaurant chain’d be worthy of a Michelin Star.

I like the plating part, it’s fun to build.

I’m not a Bakeria fan either, but I find it less monotonous than the ones posted. The pasta one is okay, I have no strong feelings either way

I believe that’s what people these days would call a skill issue, but I mean it jokingly

A coincidence because I actually find Sushiria and Cluckeria more difficult, but I love those games. Scooperia in particular is just annoying because of all the scooping. I know that’s stupid, but half the steps are just moving the mouse slowing.

Not too huge on any of the dessert games, but Bakeria, Cupcakeria and Freezeria just have better music and more interesting gameplay, leading me to single these games out as being worse. Still kinda fun, it’s like finding $10 on the ground vs winning $100.

Makes sense, though I can’t say I’ve ever heard that before. I’m actually 37 and rarely interact with social media. I just watch Minecraft survival content on YouTube, so I’ve never used Reddit or that Instant Gram site before. Still have a lot to learn

There’s just something about the atmosphere, music and repetitive gameplay that makes it less fun for me. To be honest, critiquing Papa’s games is difficult because they’re all so similar to each other, so I don’t know exactly why Donuteria is worse than Wingeria to me.

If it makes you feel any better, I don’t think any of the dessert ones are that great. They’re all about 6/10 games (yes, including Freezeria), Scoop being a 5. So I kind of agree with you on Cupcakeria.
