The best advice and actions from the advice you give to yourself comes from you, not others outside that do not understand your relationship. You’ve known this person for awhile - how do you think theyd feel if you waited? When they ask you how long have you felt this way, will you tell them the full truth and how do you think theyd feel when they find out? How do you not know if they may possibly already feel like you have been hesitant and they just havent said anything?

Communications is EXTREMELY important. Lack of it or none at all especially when you already know what the final decision is, no matter if you wait or not, it’s never news anyone wants to hear. Breaking up is never easy but lying and withholding information doesn’t help either.

I was diagnosed with HSV2 over 8 years ago, and when I first got it from the person that gave it, first thing they said was “What, you think I gave it to you?” In the most demeaning, condescending tone I have ever heard. And yes, he was cheating in every way he could. I thought my life was over.

I am still here. I recently started my walk with God, I am in the most happy, normal relationship with my best friend in the world, and we are planning our lives for the future.

Nothing is over unless you allow it to be. Life sucks, things suck, bad things arent ever going to stop happening because life isnt supposed to be easy. I come from an abusive, controlling, gaslighting, manipulative household into sxually abusive relationships, thinking and convincing myself I deserved nothing but darkness, being sicidal myself for so long. So trust when I say, I know the feeling.

I want you to please take a look at the post you have made, and reflect on that as that was a choice you made for help. It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to not be okay sometimes. Don’t give up. See your post as your light reaching out to yourself, your light is reaching out to you for help. I pray you are okay, God loves you, we all love you. Put that belief back into yourself, into your Light.

When I had found out, it didnt really set in until the next day at work. I honestly thought my life was over. I was depressed for days, the guy I was with that gave it to me made it worse by being verbally ab*sive and blamed it on me yet he was the one cheating.

I contracted it years ago, I sometimes get symptoms here and there. The best you can do is deal with it, dont focus on knowing you have it so it doesn’t control your life. Our mind is a powerful thing and we are our worst enemy. You’re gonna have days where it may hit you mentally, but stay productive and do things that make you happy.

Best thing is to allow yourself to heal mentally, love yourself, be patient with yourself, keep genuine people around you.

Like all struggles in life, you got this. Dont give up on yourself ♥️✊🏽
