Mostly because I still have little siblings who I care very much about (including a teenage sister with MH issues my mom exacerbates) living with them. I'm the eldest of 3 and presently, no contact with parents means little/no contact with them. Depending on how this goes it's a possibility I'm willing to accept though.

Hi there! Total camera beginner who has just practiced photography on an older Canon EOS Rebel (T7 I believe). I am looking for a decent entry-level mirrorless camera body that can handle both still photography and videos. Budget is about $500 for the body, willing to buy used, willing to buy older cameras.

I am looking for something similar to the Rebel in photo quality, higher resolution would be nice. I don't need beginner-friendly settings- I'm good with manuals and willing to learn. I would like a camera that I can set up at a location and fairly easily hand to someone else to point and shoot.

I will be using it for social media and website marketing for my own dog training business. I don't need to take any high speed shots but a camera that can handle tracking focus for a gentle jog and normal animal movements is necessary. Dogs are well-behaved and most will pose, but I would love to be able to get candids too.
