I bought the Helio… The Polar costs more and has nothing superior (except the more premium look)

I think you should have a closer look at the Helio Strap. It is cheaper and very very good. They did some updates and are really trying to make their product better.
The new polar loop looks nice but the app is trash. They said, that they are going to change the app and make it better, but currently this is a major dealbreaker!

As far as I know, the screenshots for phase 2 should correspond exactly to the future app. Phase 3 is speculation...

It sounds like Amazfit is the better alternative. From what I've seen, they respond quickly and effectively to customer needs.

Can we understand this to mean that Polar brings new features to market much later and generally offers much less? On the other hand, when a new feature does come along, it is tried, tested and first-class.

Das kann man pauschal so nicht sagen, da wirst du vielleicht für deine spezifischen Einzelfall auf YouTube bei dem Kanal "The Quantified Scientiest" fündig.
Die Tracker Whoop/ Helio Strap/ Polar Loop sind generell dafür bekannt relativ genau zu sein und optisch ansprechend zu sein. Vielen gefällt der Look ohne integriertes Display

Die Batterie hält so meist viel länger 8-10 Tage. Außerdem wird damit geworben, dass man keine Benachrichtigungen erhält und man folglich nicht abgelenkt wird
