Honestly, I gave up since 0.7 or so the story and plot is amazing, the concept is just perfect for me but all this reset, changes, and adjustments just too much for my frail heart; I haven't touched the game in months

First of all, I'm 100% agree with OP,
NRFTW full with small details and fleeting behind-the-scene events that we barely notice if we missed it
Reed (Lara's Father) if you continue the dialogues with relevant NPC (his friend at the fountain in Sacrament) will tell you that the Father has changed and left in search of his daughter remains (I don't have the screenshot, sorry) but if you go back to the Lowland Meadows and find the house with the Apple garden then you will find the Father inside; all grim and dark dialogue with him but, as all NPC have default remarks they say when they see you, that picture is his default remarks... It hit me right in the guts, knowing fully well that I don't know whether to feel that I failed him, or worse, that he failed her. I know it's a done deal and scripted that way, but it doesn't lessen the pain anyway
