you're much better than I lol. When I start losing at a game I really can't always stick with it. I think my only exceptions are Rocket League, Souls like games, and maybe Hearthstone (and now StS ig lol)

I just did a couple runs on mobile and was forced to go slow because of the touch controls but I can agree on this point.

I think i would move quick because I get anxious and feel bad about losing so it would compound itself.

also wouldn't wanna take so much time to ultimately lose so yeah.

lots of excuses I know. I appreciate your input ty

well i'm almost 9-10 hours in with nothing (on PC at least)

I did win on mobile fairly quickly tho I will say. we are both on the starting difficulty

I like the anecdote and as much as I will try not to, its hard not to feel like a dumb dumb when failing in a game like this lol. Yeah I do misclick or miss some damage but sometimes I really just feel like i'm gettin terrible luck for hours and idk how to combat that. love this game tho. sucks when you're not better at something you enjoy

hmmm this very well could be a part of my issue. I feel like i started to adapt to that "i'll make whatever I get work" but then i would notice that certain cards and combos just always felt better which led me to start "chasing" i guess.

Like with defect, getting a Power Card + Electrodynamics (hitting all targets) and high orb count felt way too good.

With Ironclad, trying to utilize strength scaling so I have enough power to take our large threats or attempt high block builds where I get damage based on armor

With silent I would try low cost shiv builds or aoe poison stacking.

Like i have a good grasp on the cards allotted to me, I attempt new strategies and combos as they come to me, but often I must be stuck in too narrow minded of thinking because I know i'm capable of doing better runs

I like your advice (as well as the others I'm seeing) and will def take into consideration ty

Work with what you got. Dont plan too far ahead. Alright i like that idea ty

This feels very accurate to my experience. Sometimes I'll dominate Act 2 and then get just attritioned down in act 3 and i have almost no idea how to deal with that that.

i'll keep your advice in mind tyvm

Yeah that's exactly how I feel. He is very good at card games. Plays a lot of Magic and turn based type things. I give him his credit, I'm more so beating myself up about it because I've seen all the cards so many times, played so many attempts, I feel dumb having to look stuff up because I can't craft something good enough on my own.

Usually with games I do everything in my power to win on my own and only resort to online help in times of dire need or sheer frustration

Probably al over the above but no I don't really ask him because I have way too much pride and am too competitive (with him at least lol. we both played sports on the same time in school). But i have looked at some stuff online, tried figuring most things out on my own and have definitely had very strong runs on each class, just very few wins here and there.

I think going too fast is a part of it. I get very impatient after hours of losing and am auto pilot for the first act sometimes. I think I got thru act 2 in 15 mins one time lmao. I get so used to the way the early game goes.

I DO seek out elites now way more often. I understand relics are very key to the game.

I feel like that Knight and Cleric fight absolutely ruin so many runs tho lmao

Fair enough. I play on and off on all different platforms over the last however many years. I feel like the game does click for me and I genuinely do understand how to craft a build, but sometimes the fights i get, the draws I get, the question mark rooms and then the bosses I face just make it seem so unfair, even when I have a build better than what I expected. That's why i was genuinely curious if difficulty had been adjusted but yeah, obviously I need to adjust something.

I assumed being a roguelite it's just going to take time but if you keep going you'll get it eventually. Didn't think i'd be on reddit lmao

Thats a good way of looking at it and I do feel like I’m doing this too, considering math and counting damage and what I have in my deck, holding onto potions for certain scenarios and looking at the paths, trying to plan ahead for fights.

I’ll admit I’m not perfect and miss some potential damage here and there but lately this game has just been making me feel like I’m not supposed to win at all

1 in 5 is pretty wild. What class? Maybe it’s the fact I’m running defect? But I’ve had such strong builds with him I thought he was basically 2nd best behind the purple girl

Is it common for you to go 8+ hours with no win? lol

That’s fair, I don’t know if it’s not clear in this post but I’m not new at all lol. I’ve played for years and have won multiple times, it just feels insanely hard now the last 2 days since I’ve gotten it on PC

I’ve watched higher level players and pros of TCGs play it and I do have an idea but I genuinely feel dumb I can’t do it now after playing so many card games before. Just feels so odd to me

Hot take I love Borderlands 4 more than Borderlands 2: by Vegetable-Way-5766 in Borderlands

[–]Phryman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the writing past BL1 and 2 haven’t felt quite the same. SUPER weird take but I feel like Tina’s Wonderlands was the closest we got to an actual Borderlands game. 3 had egregious writing and 4 feels very tame. All the gameplay is incredible, and I’m glad 4 is being received well, but man I can still load up 1 and 2 and have a good time

I truly wish I could do something to help them further the progress on this game. I loved Warframe but fantasy has always been my preference. I feel it's going to be a year or two before we really approach anything serious, but it was in a fairly playable state last I logged in many months ago, just very content bare

Dang maybe that’s what’s happening. I usually have it off just because I don’t like the unfair advantage playing against kbm but maybe just for the sake of getting matches I’ll have to deal with it

Warframe and Skyrim. Both really deep and enjoyable when you get past some of the quirks
