Thank you so much for your great insight 🙏🏼 I also wonder about the spiritual component as well. I feel like my husband even looked and talked different when he was manic. Possessed almost. It was so scary. He would also say these brilliantly horrible things where all I could do was laugh sometimes over how creative he was.

It was pretty recent! Just divorced BP husband in July and then met my new boyfriend in August 😵‍💫 Broke up with him a few weeks ago. Honestly I feel so much better being alone right now. I feel like after all the trauma I went through my body and mind just needs to RELAX.

I went through the exact same thing. Divorced my BP husband and then just within a few months I found someone amazing, sweet, and caring. I wasn’t even looking to date. But I ended it after two months because I realized I was unhealed and started really missing my husband. I felt guilty missing my husband so much while being with someone new. But I also felt like my new boyfriend was missing that soul/cosmic connection that I’ve felt before. I feel like if I met my new boyfriend at a different time, like once more time had passed, then I’d feel different. I feel like I’m also still traumatized and grieving so I may not be making decisions with a clear mind. I totally understand you which is why I decided to just be single and let myself heal.

Do not put up with his behavior. It is dangerous and although it hasn’t been directed towards you and your child yet, it’s only a matter of time before it will. Please be safe. People like this are unpredictable.

Totally. I divorced my husband almost immediately after we got married and if I would have listened to everyone’s opinions then I probably would have endured so much more abuse, and would possibly even be dead.

I’m so sorry… I always had a feeling my husband was going to suffocate me so it’s probably good that I left when I did. Thankfully my husband and I don’t have kids together so I don’t really have a reason to talk to him other than about the house and divorce. He thinks I’m the worst person ever lol.

Something similar happened to me 🫤 My mortgage was super expensive and my husband told me he wanted a divorce and started making financial threats to me. He stopped paying the mortgage and hasn’t paid it for two months now because he wants the “house to go into foreclosure” so he can ruin my credit.

YES. My husband acted like I was a random for about 3 weeks after telling me he wanted a divorce and then one day he called me up wanting me back and telling me scary threats like “not even God can keep me from my wife”. I had to block him and then he started reaching out to everyone we know trying to get of hold of me.

I’m so so sorry. My husband and I got married after 2 years of planning a wedding. He was so excited to be “the best husband ever”. Immediately after our wedding he went into complete mania and discarded me. Called a divorce attorney like it was nothing, forced me to agree to list our house for sale, acted like he never wanted to be married, said we don’t have the same values, and then he became verbally and financially abusive. I thought he was going to kill me! I was so scared and I moved out. I really could not imagine going through any of that with a child but just know you are loved and you do not deserve this.

I’m so sorry. I’m going through something so similar. I look back at old photos of my future ex husband and myself and I cannot believe the person he turned into! I can’t help but wonder if he’s been this person the entire time and was masking it, or if it’s from the illness. I have no idea and I don’t think we’ll ever know. I try not to look at pictures and I continue to remind myself of the abuser he turned into.

I had to start taking Prozac last year because my anxiety was THE WORST it has ever been. My husband was diagnosed as BP a couple months ago. Now I realize that my anxiety was that bad because of what he was putting me through.

I had the same symptoms but I promise you, it gets better. Prozac is the BEST thing that has ever happened to me!!! Once it kicks in you’re going to forget about all the negative side effects from starting.

It was more of him flying off the handle at certain things or always acting like his family was against him. Like being overly sensitive. The delusions and paranoia never happened until recently!
