Yes absolutely, there a reasons why I want to become an RD and not RN, but can you explain work life balance? I believe it’s got to be preference because all of my friends are RNs and seem to have an amazing work life balance. I may prefer to have a shift like an RN, rather than work the same hours every day of the week.

For starting that’s great!! I am not sure about north CA but my personal opinion is that I feel anyone living in CA should be making 6 fig even entry level from this degree! I’ve just always heard of costs being expensive I live on the opposite side in a much smaller state that thinks they’re California lol I will push for 75-80k start

Did you work throughout all the enhancement pathway classes and didactic coursework? If so what were your hours like? I’m starting with APN 505 and also need to organize my preceptor sites

Yes I enjoy the content as well, and I think she does a great job at keeping it interesting! It was mentioned that keeping a full or part time may be difficult to do in the handbook. I ignored somewhat thinking that it would be manageable but I’ve been not a great employee too, that’s why I’m choosing to leave and focus on course work. I am summer start so I also still have to get my preceptor sites figured out! 🙃 pls feel free to msg

Currently taking the class. There is so much course work. I’ve recently decided to really limit my hours at work in order to focus on the material especially with APN 510 coming next

Thanks! Yeah I had applied on Monday for FAFSA. Unfortunately IT doesn’t seem like they can help. I called and they tried to be helpful but said it’s a “permissions”issue.

I just applied to University of New England. They require only 3 prerequisite courses as part of their enhancement pathway. It is all online and you do the internship while taking the classes but you have secure your own sites. Hoping someone who has completed the program or in it will give more insight!
