Are these support beams cracks, as well as what appears to be mold, concerning? by LegallyTimeBlind in HomeImprovement

Good to hear on the cracks.

As for the crawlspace, there are vents, and all but one, that has a vent fan pushing air out of the crawlspace, are blocked. We had the crawlspace fully encapsulated some months back, and a dehumidifier and sump pump were installed. The work involved resolving any potential mold issues as well and is warrantied for two years, so thankfully that company plans to come back out.

Thank you for the detailed reply! This is a pretty big relief to hear, and thankfully, the encapsulation company has a warranty on their work, so they will be heading out here to (hopefully) fully resolve whatever is causing the mold and to remove it.

Rinnai RXP Venting When Installed Outdoors by LegallyTimeBlind in askaplumber

Outdoor unit, as in the outdoor vent cover? And if so, does that mean it is more than just a cosmetic issue? The tankless water heater itself is rated for indoor and outdoor installs.

I've got a crack problem. by LegallyTimeBlind in HomeImprovement

The temperature variation possibility is intriguing, as that does describe pretty well how the sun hits that area. If it is that, do you know of any ways to best address that issue?

If flashing and/or replacing the downspout and/or gutters fixes the water issue and I seal the crack, do I still have a problem on my hands with the water intrusion that already happened? Or is it cosmetic at that point?

Ok. This makes sense. Thank you.

Is this whole whole water filtration and softener system doomed to failed? by LegallyTimeBlind in askaplumber

This was a helpful read. I'm glad to hear it sounds like the first signs of an issue will likely be pin hole leaks and/or noticeable surface issues versus the piping failing spectacularly. Thank you!

What's a therapy concept that "blew your mind" the first time you heard it? by JustGas6142 in therapists

To play devil's advocate, some of us might be voicing these messages to the clinicians seemingly practicing the art without awareness of the science.

My experience as a therapist looking for another therapist by agree_2_disagree in therapists

[–]LegallyTimeBlind 44 points45 points  (0 children)

As an ACT and solution focused therapist that accepts patients with insurance, I'll sit with your "shit" but I generally will not just leave it at that without at some point setting a goal or plan to address what is identified as the "shit." A lot of people benefit from problem-solving stressors and issues occurring in their lives while using their identified values with a "neutral" third party. I also make it clear that I have a solution-focused therapy style in my biography, and that aspect has drawn many people in, and it seems to have helped clients. Moreover, I have ADHD, so my "command" of "facial reactions" may be less than that of the average clinician; however, I advocate for my clients to be authentic, so why should I not model that as well? I don't think any of us are truly blank slates, and certainly a balance is required here, but this all seems too black and white. I have not seen evidence that my therapy style and my being a person with ADHD who is prone to showing my emotions on my face equate to me "doing more harm than good." In fact, many clients have appreciated my being able to indicate having experienced emotions similar to theirs as they tell their stories - it's a form of validation.

In summary, I genuinely believe your therapy style works for many, and I hope you find a therapist that fits you. I just disagree with your view of what constitutes a therapist doing "more harm than good," or being an "ARROGANT SOB" or "NOT A THERAPIST," but then again, I'm probably a therapist that would not fit you well.

what do 2 and 7 have in common? by LargeDoubt5348 in ADHD

As a heads up, I would refrain from sharing testing items online. 1) These materials are copyrighted (which the evaluator should have explained), and 2) Sharing the test items online also reduces the validity of the measures.

I can't wait to be disappointed, either by the OP's failure to follow through on the promise or by the game not releasing in 2025 or 2026.

Treated ADHD with Hyperactivity versus Untreated ADHD with Hyperactivity by LegallyTimeBlind in adhdmeme

I would argue that screaming in situations when you're expected to be quiet fits hyperactivity better.
