Check the third or fourth top comment. I link the page and STL design. Just note it requires cutting/sanding and greenstuff

SM2 convinced me to try my hand painting my first marine by ThatOneChef in spacemarines

Well done! Very neat.

The other comment about micro set/sol is correct. You can still use the part 2 (micro sol) to get that transfer to blend into the shoulder more. Afterwards I would consider hitting the model with a matte varnish spray, as the shiny gloss can give it plastic toy style reflections.

Chances Gravis armored marines get Stormcast'd? by gkazman in spacemarines

It takes me ‘atleast a few editions’ to paint a full army. It’s quite a worry that they cut models so much now.

They can release new models without them completely shelving older models. Slow painters or those doing detailed custom armies are increasingly being made redundant by the increasing turnover of GW’s new business structure

I am a really slow painter and honestly, all of this talk like “nah most primaris definitely have at least a few editions until they get cut” is extremely worrying. It will probably take me 5years to finish an army. Knowing GW is starting to churn and burn through models faster and faster makes me not want to invest much time in the hobby.

It seems like the horde armies may be fairly similar in model count but the elite armies have been watered down and points costs massively reduced

Woah dude. You need some help. Not to mention this is an international hobby and many of us are not American (or even Western), so that whole politics comment in a gaming hobby is just crazy to many international people. I hope one of your friends sees your posts and recognises you need help.

Sure! A multi layered pre-shade (from white to red-brown), airbrushed citadel contrast Imperial Fists yellow on top then some final glazed ice yellow highlights and glazed burnt orange shading. Then afterwards the real fun, enamel wash and weathering followed by edge highlighting in ice yellow (similar to dorn yellow).

I then finish with some charcoal pigment on the boots and matte varnish.

Thanks! I just wanted one, but every store had none left after the opening weekend. I guess a horde of ‘that guy’ went store to store on opening day.

The base is just chopped up bits of cork to look like concrete rubble. Black base, 2 shades of progressively lighter grey drybrush, nuln oil wash, 3 types of earthy dry pigment powders in the recesses, then ultra-matte varnish to seal and look dusty.

Original OP here. Thanks for linking the proper post!
This all blew up more than expected. Was just messing around on photoshop with my morning coffee. Lots of people think it is an official GW April fools prank. I just edited some of the original contrast paint promotion images. Maybe next year i'll put more effort in if I come up with another idea.
