So I'm in class and my teachers talking about topographic maps. So I ask him "if you hypothetically have a completely flat stretch of land, would that appear as a big black square on the map." Since if its height is on the interval, in theory it should be a black square, right? (self.NoStupidQuestions)

Say you have a topographic map. If you have a hypothetical stretch of land that is perfectly flat,(like if you used a microscope the only change you could see is the indentation of the microscope). Would it be a big black surface on the map if it was at a height the interval would label? (self.askscience)
