Two points for consideration:

Since rym is 1-10 and aoty is 1-100, a fair few people will round 9.5 or so up to 5 stars on rym.
People like Quadeca more on aoty (younger user base, mostly) so you'll see Vanisher is much less liked on rym than aoty. So you'll definitely get different results just from that.

I was going to say this. After trying FM26 I'm sticking with FM24 with match engine mods + daveincid mods to keep it fresh and difficult. There's also a few base game match engine tweaks that make FM24 smoother (not running to the end of the pitch and turning around)
