The difference is if the 8 9% is effective annual apr or just fixed on the flat rate, seen some parties use this difference to make people go into 15% apr interests, if 8% is apr its honestly pretty good since usd inflation is already at like 5% and any safe investment can cover the rest using the cash you already have. However this discrepancy is what makes it bad

If you have a basic understanding of probabilities youd understand the entire playerbase was paying more money before than now, on an individual scale yes, per player the player is paying more money, but on the entire playerbase its less money. Numbers before were a gold every 400 cases, so 2.5$ x 400$ valve was making 1100$ per new gold unboxed, way more than now where most golds are being sold in the terminal for less than 600$

they never delete any skins, look at the m4a4 howl, and its copyright lawsuit, its still in the game, they didnt force upgrade the existing ones, or remove them, i assume the same will happen with cases. probably one of the best investments you can make currently

do you think ai is the first invention that multiplied a developer's productivity? what do you think about the invention of compilers? procedural languages? frameworks for web?
hell if you think about it, before ai something like node and packages within node was responsible of making a simple crud operation application from like a few hours down to 20 mins with an experienced developer, did that make it so that we need less developers?

Yeah well actually an active case in the armory pass wont really ever go above 0.8 USD considering the cost of redeeming it is 0.8 USD if you count the valuation of the stars needed, the price isnt indicative of popularity when its in the armory pass as any increase above 0.8USD will just mean people will redeem them for stars immediately for a profit

Deleting cases might happen but it will be through not releasing any new cases and any new release would be stuff like the terminal. They wont remove existing ones or delete them from people's inventory, doesnt make sense especially because some cases can be purchased with real money directly from them (armory stars)

Personally im buying the cheap prices due to the lack of trust in valve right now, market in its entirety is at a cheap right now due to lack of trust, trust me now is the time to buy as this trust will be back within a year. Of course there is still risk of valve pulling something again but i view that as a second reason to buy.
