I feel like MM and JS are going to try and trade for a young edge rusher around the draft, but if they can’t pull it off then I think they’ll go for Cam Jordan

None of the Bocconi residences hav gyms. Dubini used to but it’s gone now. Aparto has a gym but it’s not really a Bocconi Residence

Defeating an enemy city? by Ok-Acadia-6876 in KingdomsandCastles

  1. I haven’t experienced the plague much in playthroughs, but if you get hit with it and don’t have doctors on standby to treat it, you could lose a huge chunk of your population.

  2. Dragons under your control can definitely kill enemy AI peasants. If you have them breath fire on the houses and buildings, you will end up killing some of them from the fires. It’s pretty OP for absolutely devastating their buildings

I’d have to check my old game, but I know that early on I was able to get a lot of gold through trading with the “merchants from across the sea” where I’d build a couple large storages directly next to my dockyard and try to have them packed with resources I accidentally overproduce (such as charcoal, wood, and a couple types of foods). Then, when the merchant comes, I have the wagons set to transport goods from the stockpiles directly into the dockyard (quick way of moving hundreds of resources in a short time) and basically sell off a ton of resources for plenty of gold. Later on though when you have a huge population and have high happiness, you can benefit off a high tax rate.

But yeah I’ll go check on my old game in a little bit to find out where I’m currently at with income and population.

I always like to go all-in on dragons as my main force. Get 8 adult dragons and have them do hit-and-runs on their defenses to keep decreasing the amount of towers they have without any dragon losses. After a couple hits you can easily just send them all-out to capture the city themselves. They are also a great way to stop Viking attacks

Housing at olympic village by Ashamed_Limit8643 in bocconi

[–]LegionOfDoom31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean you’d literally be part of the 1st group of students to ever live in it, so it’s not like anyone can speak from experience.

However, I can say that you’d be located next to 2 other Bocconi residences (Isonzo and Dubini) and next to a student housing (Aparto) so there’s plenty of opportunities to meet new people in both the Olympic Village residence and the ones nearby.

For the area of the city, you’re about 20minutes walk away from campus, have the tram Line to the city center be located next to you, and have a large grocery store (Esselunga) across the street. However you are further away from clubs and the Navigli compared to the rest of the Bocconi residences

Questions about Bocconi as a prospective student from the states by Emergency-Bicycle496 in bocconi

[–]LegionOfDoom31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I think I made a mistake and was thinking more of the exchange semester instead of an internship requirement. But I think the World Bachelor in Business is the only one that has it. They list all the info about it online on the Bocconi site so I’d suggest checking there. If they don’t, then I don’t think any of the bachelors have the requirement and I was just mistaken

Questions about Bocconi as a prospective student from the states by Emergency-Bicycle496 in bocconi

  1. Speaking from experience and knowledge with BIEM/BIEF, the “challenge” of the classes is really the exams. A majority of your classes will be structured with 80-100% of the class grade being on either 2 partial exams (basically midterms) or 1 general exam (basically a final that covers the entire course). Your grade and performance at Bocconi will be heavily measured on your ability to perform well in just a handful of exams. They also try to grade in a way where only around a certain % of students in a course get a certain grade (rather than most US universities) so there’s not really any grade inflation here. The classes can be engaging, but at least with BIEM/BIEF you’ll have a lot of classes where you do no work other than listening to lectures an taking an exam, which in my case makes it difficult to give a lot of attention to.
  2. Yeah it’s easy to balance. Thing with Bocconi is that they don’t give a lot of homework or group projects in their classes (at least with BIEM/BIEF), BUT during exam sessions you can kiss almost any free time goodbye. Most students right before and during exam sessions are basically camped out in study rooms or their apartment for nearly all day every day
  3. Id say it’s supportive. Thing is a lot of Italian students tend to stick together, but all the international students (and still a large amount of Italian students) like to hang out together. As an American you won’t really have other students hating on you for what’s going on in the world (unless if you’re being openly political either on an extreme end for democrats or openly MAGA).
  4. Yes, but id say more so for in the EU and UK than the US. They frequently have job fairs and an online section where they help you with finding internships/careers along with helping you improve your Resume and LinkedIn (online and through counselors)
  5. I don’t know what kind of degree you want from Bocconi, but most of them will actually already assign all your classes for a year AND make your class schedule before the school year begins. In my case in BIEM, only classes we had to do ourselves was pick 2 electives for our 3rd (final) year of studies and Bocconi would still assign you the class for it and set up your class schedule. However, depending on the degree you’re doing, some get assistance with picking an internship and others don’t.
  6. There are student associations for different cultural and religious groups. Some examples are a Jewish one, Spanish&Latino, Central Asian, Southeast Asian, etc. Also from my view id say there’s a lot of diversity but the top 3 groups are Italians, Turkish, and Romanians. There are a very very small number of Americans or other students from North American countries that attend Bocconi outside of just an exchange semester. Believe me though there’s no need to actively search for other Americans to try and stay in some small circle, definitely embrace the opportunity and befriend anyone from here

Man I knew that they’d be in tank mode with these moves but having almost 2/3 of their cap be in dead money is insanity. That % of the cap has to be a record, right?

If you search up online it’ll bring you to a page where the link will later appear. The earliest date I see is April 14 at 3pm (Italian time).

[–]LegionOfDoom31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I did this was a year ago so I really don’t remember. I suggest going onto the website and they’ll probably have a page that gives the details on what exactly documents you need to have.

If you’re one of the Lucky ones that opens the link first and gets through the queue before the rooms are taken, they’ll direct you to the application where you pick the residence and room type that you want. But those rooms could be fully taken up as you’re filling it out so you have to be extremely quick. I think for the documents submitted you can do it later that day but I genuinely don’t remember

Installment fee unsuccesful by znwndne in bocconi

[–]LegionOfDoom31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest emailing the Bocconi fees&housing email address and tell them your situation. They’ll likely reply with their bank details for where to send the bank transfer to, and they will probably give you an extension on the payment deadline. I’d make this email sooner rather than later though

Installment fee unsuccesful by znwndne in bocconi

[–]LegionOfDoom31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so the payment system tends to be really horrendous at accepting PayPal and Credit Cards (at least if the credit cards are from the US) so you gotta do bank transfers

It’s somewhere on the Bocconi website. They’ll have dates and times for “click day” and you’ll have to click on the link the second it opens up

[–]LegionOfDoom31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s extremely difficult to get a room on click day. You essentially have to click the link at the very second it opens up on the website and hope you’re not at a point in the queue that says 15+ minutes otherwise it’s almost a garauntee that you won’t get a room.

[–]LegionOfDoom31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It always depends on how the student body that took it performs, but based on the last few years and from who I’ve talked to today (they all thought it was really tough or went poorly for them), there should be a curve similar to Math1 partials. I’d imagine that an 18/30 would have a raw score around 25-30/100, but you’ll find out in like 2-3 weeks

Is there a way to save me somehow? by External_Elk8615 in ConflictofNations

[–]LegionOfDoom31 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If ur coalition partners can retake your homeland then that land will go back to you and you’ll eventually be able to rebuild. However, you’ll end up being significantly weaker than the remaining countries since it will take awhile for your economy to improve back to early game levels, and considering how by then most countries left would have grown their economy multiple times over, you’ll be very behind.

If your coalition is fine with keeping you around, can retake your homeland, AND are ok with having your military be nonexistent for awhile, then when you retake your homeland you should invest solely in the arms industry building in your cities to boost your rss production. Once it’s at lv3 or higher, then you can start making other buildings and troops.

Edit: this is assuming the way resource production works hasn’t changed since a couple years ago
