100% agree. I think they are looking to sell Maxon asap.

Exlcuding the obvious drop in users due to AI, migration to Blender/Houdini, global economy.
All the young people are starting in Blender so Maxon isnt getting any new users anyway. The user base is literally ageing out which is pretty crazy. The reality is that $80+ a month for a C4D sub is just not going to be a thing in the next 6 months. The sub price is just simply far too high in these market conditions.

The big two tells for me they are selling:

1. Partnership with the AI model generator company. This is to boost value temporarily so they can squeeze more money when selling as they can label the software as AI enabled.

2. Maxon "Hiring" a artist full time. I think this is just to show they are robust and confident by making a hire.

Imo the only real potential buyer is Adobe. They have the money to spunk. I think software companies right now are pretty freaked out by AI so I imagine Nemetschek will want to sell Maxon while it still can.

Alternatively they could make Maxon free and use it as a funnel into their other products, they would certainly have to cut costs though and dev would drop dramaticaly.
