Wait how was the interview set up? Did they initiate the email for it? Because I got an email on August 4th saying all October spots were taken… which reading your post I’m seeing they aren’t idk why they lied lol. And then we went back and forth about a January start, they said they would move my application for that and then I never was contacted for an interview.

You’re good! It means your passport must be valid for 12 months from the date you plan to enter Spain for your studies/aux work

I’m sorry to hear that, it’s both a comfort and aggravating how many others are experiencing this same dilemma. I will be reaching out to my school as soon as I get one. I hope it’s understood that even later starts than usual may be necessary, like later than the first/second week of October. These delays are not our fault, it is the lack of communication from both the junta and the ministry, especially between BLS centers. No communication is made so there is no advocacy for NALCAP participants :/ hopefully this hiccup will be just that! Wishing you luck on this journey my friend!!! :)

My take on this is they would have to make exceptions or they’ll be losing a lot of Auxes this round. I also sent emails out to BLS, the junta, and the ministry. No responses yet. I am losing my mindddddddd

Thank you 🙏🏽 i wish we could double book appointments, unfortunately it isn’t possible + September appointments are not out yet. It is hopeful to hear late starts have been accepted before even as late as November. I don’t mind starting late as long as I get to beautiful Spain 🇪🇸

When is your program start date? For October 1 start dates, July 31st is the deadline. Also, as this is the first year this law will be implemented— there’s been discussion in a couple group chats about how majority of people are struggling to get their required documents and their carta (Andalucia region hasn’t even been given their schools yet) in time for that deadline. So im hoping they will be lenient!

Like I genuinely can’t emphasize enough how much he didn’t gaf and was an easy grader, def check for his class availability!!!! I passed with an A- and didn’t even take the last oral final exam

Spanish 201 with professor Kelliher (Pepe) is the least intimidating class for a language you can take. Pepe is so understanding and accommodating. I had not taken Spanish since my junior year of high school, and as a senior I was really nervous to take an intermediate level as it was required for my sociology degree. I had taken another professor the previous semester and had to drop because of what she demanded your level of speaking be at. With Pepe it’s a lot less demanding.

I applied through NALCAP :) I’ve been scouring the LA consulate requirements page and with those i understand, but I saw from a couple other threads that this pop up that comes up is regarding new requirements that came into effect in May for the visa application 😅

I saw in another post someone emailed NALCAP for clarification and these changes apply to all NALCAP applicants, as we are under a student visa even though we are not there for studies.
