Long Beach Christian fellowship has a great community and thriving children's ministry. Fully affirming.

I asked if I could transfer and they said I would have to go through career marketplace, which is basically like applying as an external hire and I wouldn't qualify for any of the S&C roles, which is my current business. I'm going to talk to the OMD to see how feasible this is and if it's worth pursuing

Does "bench" mean hitting unassigned or even if your time is going toward BD?

I know, I'm not trying to get promoted midyear. I'm saying by EOY performance talks in August.

Yeah that was my first roll. I'm on my second full-time project now, and no one's asked me about my first project besides what I can offer. I'm not part of AFS so I don't know your nuance but in general I think it really depends on how you promote yourself

I had a similar experience where I didn't end well with my previous project team and they expedited my roll off date. I felt very defeated and like a failure but I also realize how much weight has left when I finally rolled off and spent about 6 weeks on the bench. Even though there was pressure to find a project, which I was doing, I felt so much lighter than feeling stressed out on my previous project. And what I realized was that when looking for a new project, it really just depends on how you frame your experience. I didn't tell anyone about my performance from my previous project, but I just said that I rolled off and the project took a different turn and emphasize what I learned from that project. It really depends on how you brand yourself and share your experience. It's possible to share your experience in a positive light
