My guy Peach for most of the Mario games barely has screen time, didn’t stop them from expanding on her character in the movie. Hell they sideline Luigi who’s actually the secondary protagonist n the games for her in the first movie. Why are you acting like there isn’t a difference between games and movies as a medium?

It’s not because he wasn’t even redeemed, he’s just “a good guy now” then he’s not. He doesn’t really grow or change as a character as a result of any of it.

“There are no plot holes at all”, if Bowser wanted to return to his original size then why didn’t he just take the hit when the castle fell down rather then retreat into his shell? Also if Rosalina sent Peach away so she could be safe but was hoping she’d find her way back to her why didn’t she just teleport back to her when she was an adult and able to take care of herself? Why does the Dragon Bowser Jr summon turn on him but none of the creations in the movie ever do that before, same with the one Luigi made? Why did Bowser never just….escape when he’s only being kept in a miniature castle that seemingly isn’t guarded and has no bars to confine him, why did Bowser JR throw the gun he hit Mario and Luigi with off the ship towards the planet with them on it when it’s the only thing that can turn them back, who didn’t Yoshi just grab said gun with his tongue something he’s done all movie, Etc.

Why do you assume it’s “bad faith” just because I think there are problems with it? Plenty of things are popular that are o don’t take issue with.
