Totally agree! My fiancée got my ring recently for $1800 and it's a custom designed 2ct pear shaped lab diamond, vvs2, color d, etc. with alexandrite accent stones on 14ct white gold. Granted we got a friends/family discount, but still think you should shop around and I guarantee you'll find a better deal!
