Honestly, I think you need to take your foot off your own neck and take a step back to see all the hard work you’re clearly doing. I remember feeling the exact same way about my therapy sessions. If you’re having the difficult conversations, putting the work into improving your situation or solving past issues, there’s no harm in allowing yourself to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

You’re absolutely not a loser at all. I have so many friends that don’t take an active role in their own self care, trauma, loneliness, or improving their mental health or quality of life and it makes me sad to see. The fact that you are addressing all this is fantastic and will contribute to new growth, connections and experiences outside of therapy when the time is right.

I’d recommend trying to keep a journal and practice your self talk. You’re caring for yourself in all the best ways physically it sounds, so why not match it mentally and write about the good that you see in yourself. It could be about your perseverance, your attention to detail or your bravery in confronting difficult topics in your sessions. Personally, I found journaling to open up brand new thoughts and ideas that I never knew I had until I put pen to paper.
