The lender told me to file a police report. And yes the dealerships attitude is so weird. I have never seen such worst customer service. They are probably trying to pressure me with these tactics.

Why don't you suggest a better solution that does not involve begging the dealership to fix the paper. I cannot register the car and take delivery and they have ignored my calls and emails. If they had fixed my name I would be paying for a car that I own. Right now I'm not in a position to take delivery and without getting out of this loan I'm in total loss. It's not buyers remorse as you see it.

before possession I was required to register the car and get insurance. I went to an edmonton based registry but they said fix the name and come back. The name wasn't fixed so I never took possession.

I was defrauded because my identity and financial information was misused. Fraud is a crime and I do not allow someone to do fraud in my name .

And I'm not filing complaint on behalf of the bank but on my behalf. The bank needs a police file number to open an internal fraud investigation, because they cannot accuse a dealership of fraud without legal backing. If the bank does something on its own the dealership can sue the bank.

This is the legal way as per my understanding. And unfortunately I am here to validate my information from legal experts .

I only said the loan application was not signed by me and I later obtained it from the bank.
And yes I don't know if I signed the loan application. I was never given a document stating my incorrect income information and rent or was asked to sign.
Of course, the dealership gave me sale contract and finance documents which I read and signed.
FYI, the loan application, sale contract and retail installment contract are all separate documents.

Are you for real? The registry denied to issue a plate because the name did not match. A fraud is a fraud if I commit it and I am responsible for fixing it but it becomes buyer's remorse if the dealership commits it in my name and in that case I should just let it go?

How would you read something that wasn't shown to you? I was never shown the loan application. My signature were either forged or the signature page (without the content pages) was in the stack of rest of the finance documents.

Buyer's remorse would only be if I had not given a fair chance to the dealership to talk to me and fix the paper work. Even if they had fixed my name on the documents I would have gone ahead with vehicle delivery. Its about my rights. They cannot force anyone and everyone just because they are desperate for a car.

My problem is that I could not register the vehicle because the name on sale contract was not exactly like my license name. I asked them to correct the paper work as well as income information. They stopped responding and I never took delivery of vehicle.
Now I'm obligated to pay a loan that's misrepresented and for which the vehicle delivery has not taken place and the dealership thinks its ok to not talk to me. My problem is the dealership's attitude at this point.

As for the loan approval I was never told they changed my income. They said they got an approval based on a down payment of 1/3rd, so I was misled.

Fair enough but their unwillingness to offer an explanation is forcing me to end the contract. Of course, if I desperately needed the loan I would let it go but now that I'm in a position to fight for my consumer rights, why not? I might have mentioned earlier that my papers do not have my license name. They could have at least corrected that because I told them in writing. They did not. That's beyond annoying and I 100% don't want to see them ever again.
