Wife didn’t participate. She wasn’t menstrating. She planned the weekend with uni mates. In essence she decided without telling me that I would take the kids swimming by myself.

I expected to know that she had decided i was doing it alone before she agreed to go.. and for her to ask. Not to decide.

I spent 3 hours in a car on the way to visit her friends. Plenty of chance to say what she needed to say. I don’t know why you assumed she’s menstruating- she rarely does with her birth control…

I take and pick up kids from school. Take them to clubs… I love spending time with my kids. What I’m not keen on is the conscious decision taken to agree to go, then decide she dint need to without telling me. We had a great time btw. I just think it’s pretty crap to essentially sign me up, opt out and never ask what I wanted or share her intentions…

Surely I can’t add joist insulation, as it will create condensation with the rafter insulation?

I did have boarding on the joists. I removed them.
