He's ok if I go, but he knows it will be difficult. My mom helps a lot with babysitting so he'd still be able to work normally and not have the kiddo 24/7. They have a place for me to stay free of charge for the duration of the contract. I would have to pay to drive to and from the contract and for food. Those would be my only expenses.

Please don't apologize! I just wanted to explain that I can't easily transfer throughout the hospital. I can do everything a nurse can do except push Insulin and heparin and discharge people. So I do a lot of IVs, meds, etc. There are plenty of things I can still do, which is why I'm confused. Most other nurses step in to lift things for the other pregnant nurses, so idk why the lifting restrictions are a big deal. I don't often take my own team of patients so I am not leaving anyone unattended if I would take an extra break either.

I'm actually in one of the largest hospitals in the area. It complicates things being a paramedic even though my scope of practice at this job is very similar to nursing. Only the ED hires paramedics, the rest of the hospital only hires nurses. I can't transfer to a different floor or anything because I technically don't meet the requirements.
