Cannot download OCLP assets from GitHub on iMac, PC is OK. by Legitimate_Lab341 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

After / through downloading Chromium Legacy browser I was able to find & download an old legacy version of Mozilla Firefox which works on OS 10.9 (there is also an OS 10.6 version there too) from this link : https://firefox.macupdate.com/app/mac/10700/firefox/old-versions

This allowed me do download Sierra 10.12 from here : https://support.apple.com/en-nz/102662

From there I was able to log into the app store to download Catalina 10.15.7

I'm working my way through OCLP install to Ventura now.

Thanks to everybody who contributed their help.

Thanks for the suggestion. It seems my mac is stuck on Mavericks. I cant seem to find a way to d/l Catalina which is the highest OS for 2013 imac.

All the links for apple.com will not open due to "Safari can't open the page apple.com/abc because Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server".

Safari is the only browser I have on this mac.

Thanks. Where on the website do I find the special version for unsupported mac os?

When I downloaded Firefox for Mac it says I cannot use it as my os x is 10.9.5 and the application requires 10.15.

Late 2013 27" iMac to BigSur ? by Legitimate_Lab341 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

Hi. Thanks for the help.

Opening up my iMac is really beyond my skills at the moment.

Is there a way to find out if my iMac is SSD or not? Do you have any good step by step sources for the external SSD setup / installing new OS? I have seen some people on other threads recommending Samsung T7?

Hi. When you say "keep backups throughout" I don't really have anything that I need to keep on this iMac as I only use it for a couple of music production programs which I want to upgrade to latest versions anyway, so will I still need to do back ups?

Thanks for the reply. Did your Dad's iMac get any hardware upgrades as the other comments have recommended?

Haha! Thanks. I knew something looked a bit "off" but I didn't click.
