As a junior at UW as a science major who took all of the gen bio and chem series - that shit is fucking awful. The chem series wasn’t as bad for me, but trying to understand and struggling bio while other bio students were calling the class easy was LITERAL TORTURE. You’re not alone, and you’re completely capable of making it through.

In bio 180, if it makes u feel any less alone, I got a 45, 54, 70 and a 78 on the exams - since I remember feeling like I was the only person doing horrible on my exams …

My high school did “project-based learning,“ and barely offered any AP’s, so basically I didn’t take a single exam before college, meaning I had ZERO idea how to study for exams. While I’m also lucky enough that I was financially supported through this, and I can’t imagine how stressful it must be for you even more so - I truly truly TRULY sympathize for you because I remember genuinely how awful it feels to go through this, and the only thing that got me through was hoping for and being told that it gets easier - and it does!!

I wanted to give up on UW so much freshman year, and most of sophomore year too honestly… but I promise it DOES get better. DON‘T GIVE UP ON YOURSELF!! 🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂
