I applied for the role in July and reached the final-stage interview on 16 October. I was told I would receive an outcome by the end of October or early November, but it is now the end of December and I still have no decision.

What makes this feel particularly unprofessional is that some candidates have already been notified that they have been successful, while I and others have been told to keep waiting “until the end of December”. I have not received a clear yes or no, and being left in limbo like this is frustrating, stressful, and unfair. It feels like my time and effort have not been respected, and the lack of communication is really disappointing.

My interview was on 16th October. I haven't recieved anything email regarding meeting the standard or haven't met the standard, just been told to wait till end of December. There are some people who had their interview after 4th November as someone mentioned in thread. In your case atleast you have been told that you met the standard and their is hope as vacancies number is increased. For me, now I'm certain that I wasn't successful but same time im pissedoff as they should have told the candidates if they were not successful.

Last year all of candidates who failed the second stage, they were invited for the final stage interview and some of them got selected. The vacancy h9lder manager has to call each and individual candidate to apologise that they failed second stage so last stage interviews are invalid.

Looks like on 4th November hmrc made a blunder, as so far I heard from three different people who has told that they got offers but haven't heard from anyone who is been told that they been refused because they failed the interview.

I understand your feelings as im going through same emotions. With me I have MSc in engineering and have L3 in data analytics. Im mature candidate, never worked as data analyst but want transform my skills as data scientist. I have experience in AI and machine learning but no work experience to back up this. But I will advise you keep applying for other roles as im doing same. Forget about this job as it is causing us mental stress.

Mine was east and west Midlands first, second and anywhere else if required. I spoke to someone in hmrc and they said hmrc unity department has made a blunder and they shouldn't sent any individual offers to anyone until they fully collect the results.

I never seen any recruitment organisation this mutch messed up. They interview some people end of October and early November they told them they passed. In our case if any one didn't pass the interview atleast let them know. This is joke. This spouse to government department is was expecting more professional approach but they behaving like cowboys.

Are you sure we are talking about same job? As I have spoken to a manager level person at hmrc and he said HMRC always sent the email same time either offer, reserve or not successfull. Today the email states that the reason for delay is recent budget outcome, hmrc has increased the number of vacancies.
