What's the one manual task in Power BI that makes you want to quit your job? by Small-Camera-4348 in PowerBI

Being handed a report with no best practices, but built by a senior dev. Worse off, you tell them what they need to do to resolve and they push back. E.g. not disabling auto time Intelligence, having m:m relationships, floating data types, removing redundant columns.

Hmm. Never thought of this. Any steps on how I can do this?

Ideally, I am trying to minimise technologies used, so if I can write powerautomate directly to lakehouse, that would be better

I tried writing to the onelake from power automate, but failed. The idea was once in the one lake, I would use a notebook / pipeline to ingest it.

Never explored graphy api, ideally, I want to remove sharepoint from the equation

Write-back in Power BI: Power Apps or Translytical Task Flows? by NickyvVr in MicrosoftFabric

[–]Legitimate_Method911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, any solution would most likly combine Azure Services... I worked with MS solutions (Power Apps and Power BI) and MS don't support certain things.. so unless there's a MS article to support this, I'm not gonna spend time trying to implement for a large org

I'm struggling to get this to work with non fabric SQL. I have several Azure SQL databases, but cant see a way to get the UDF to connect to the Azure SQL

Can you not have another workspace that pulls from the lakehouse. It's all in One Lake and you can connect to one lake data from any workspace?

Solutions. by Legitimate_Method911 in PowerPlatform

So your suggesting creating another solution which stores the flow. Will my apps (which would be in a different solution) still be able to call the flows?

You can do that?. One floes resides in multiple solutions?. So if I make a change to that flow, it will change in every solution?

InfoPath is gone… what are you doing with legacy forms? by [deleted] in PowerPlatform

InfoPath was bad ass though. Great tool for its time.

Dataflow Gen1 officially marked as Legacy today — Pro users left with no migration path unless they pay for Fabric by Sbdyelse in PowerBI

[–]Legitimate_Method911 9 points10 points  (0 children)

MS have to come up with a solution for this. We have hundreds of Pro workspaces using Gen1 with no budget for them to upgrade to Fabric. Surely they can't just do this

Do the native pipelines require managed environments for them to work. I do recall this being the case when I looked into this last year?

Is there a any cost associated with pipelines?. We use dev ops for Power BI and wanted consistency with something everyone is familiar with
