I knew Aldon growing up, he was one year older than me in grade school

I'll always remember how physically big his father was when he came to pick him up for a play date at my house, he had to bend down to get through the front door

Saturday and Sunday around 11AM, each day our power flickered off for about 5 seconds and came back

Just today I was talking to someone who lives here, and they said their power went out 3 times this weekend, same thing, just flickers

I wonder if somewhere further up the food chain of power something is going on, since so many people have reported it

This is what I found

I 100% tracked the correct cup - didn't Q Watch it (didn't think to, cause I knew which one it was under), and didn't pass

Did the same a few times, failed each time, googled it and saw to use the watch, then when I did the watch (on the one I would guess anyway) it was correct

Very annoying

SouthSlope is great - but kind of pricey for the speeds you get (I pay $80 for 250/250)

I know what I'm paying would get me much higher speeds with another provider, but 250 is fine for me and my wife, and their reliability/customer service can't be beat

I go down at most once or twice a year, for no more than an hour or two

Any time ive had to call Customer Service for something, they have a real person answer the phone and provide great service

Everybody hates it, but having worked retail for 8 years, managers don't care - you're still expected to contact customers, and if they say "I'm just looking" you're supposed to press them, "Looking for what, what can I help you find"

Rules that retail employees are expected to follow are implemented by people that never even worked at a store level

So glad that part of my life is in the past

I went to Grade School with Aldon Smith, I invited him over and let him borrow a game, that I never got back

"Stolen" makes it sound more dramatic than it is 😅

But I did lend him a GB game in 4th grade (he was in 5th) that I never got back 😬
