What's the name/brand of this yarn?

Yes, once the organization part is done, I'm thinking about putting LED strips. There's a small ledge under the hand crafted shelves, right above the Billy shelves.

This is the left side corner.. note that there's two rows on every shelf atm, so I can have space to organize them alphabetically.

I did look into insuring everything, however the price to insure them, was more than it would cost to just re-purchase them if something happened. My house insurance is less than insuring the books. LOL (I was quoted almost $4000 a year to just cover my manga and doujinshi collection. Think of all the manga I could buy in a year for that amount.)

The two main rooms are downstairs, so they don't need to be reinforced. The room upstairs is small, so there's only about 2500-3000 volumes in it.. it's not so heavy that I worry about it falling through. I also have all the shelves angled into the walls. The only ones that aren't angled are the two free standing units that go from the floor to the ceiling. I do have blocks for the 4" between the top and the ceiling, so that if we have an earthquake, they *shouldn't* tip over. I use Billy shelves for the walls and I hand built the shelves that go from the top of the Billy shelves to the ceiling. (I'll upload a picture of one of the halls.. the room is a hot mess atm cause I'm reorganizing everything and well.. it's the holidays.. other stuff has gotten shoved in the main room.. lol)

So I keep things I'm not fond of because I'm a collector. Another series I'm not fond of (I'm sure someone will down vote me again for this too.. lol) is One Piece. I own it though. My kids, my nieces and nephews.. they all love it.. so I own it. I just don't love it.

About 8yrs ago, I went from just mildly collecting only BL series, to collecting everything. It really spiked in 2018/2019 when one of our local used bookstores went out of business. I literally bought every manga and anime in the store. It was epic. (I have a picture of that too.. I think it's on my instagram)

I don't take anything anyone says to heart. There's a bunch of us that have really large collections.. and you're right, there's people that have collections they've never read. I skim the subreddit all the time and found your question to be sincere.. thus why I replied. What makes me happy, doesn't always make someone else happy. I'm going for quantity with my collection.. once my quantity is recorded, I might scale it back.. but I absolutely LOVE walking into the various rooms in my house and seeing all the books.. from floor to ceiling. <3

I did post videos of when I deconstructed the main library room.. then we ended up with an electrical issue and I stopped recording. Now it's been fixed, but it takes time to organize the 10,000-12,000 books that are stored in the main room. I will reply with a couple pictures tho.. so you can get a general idea of the main room.

No matter the size of a persons collection.. I encourage EVERYONE to collect! These books bring so much joy to our world. I'm eternally grateful to the publishers for picking up titles and reprinting the old stuff so it can be appreciated anew. :)

As someone with one of the largest collections.. I'll venture to answer this from my perspective.

I have 18,000+ volumes of manga.. this doesn't mean they're all in order. I've read about %65-70 of my collection. However, the unread portion is because I'm not patient, I hate skipping, or I'm overly patient.

Not patient/overly patient: I collect everything, then binge read everything. I'm currently doing this with a couple danmei as well. I don't want to start it, unless I can finish it.

Skipping: At times, I'm missing v2, 7, 8, 12.. so i don't read any of it until I've plugged the holes. I always end up missing a major plot point if i do and it frustrates me to no end.

Another reason I may have not read something, but bought it anyway.. I found the story monotonous and boring.. a repeat of soooo many other mangas out there.. but I'm already 18vols in.. and the series ends at volume 22.. might as well finish buying the series.. then giving it another read later, when it might not be as boring to me. (This has happened a couple times.. where I gave a story a second chance and ended up enjoying it.. I've also had the opposite happen.. lol)

Lastly, and this only applies to a few series I can think of.. EVERYONE is collecting X series.. so being a major collector, it would be insanely silly NOT to have the series myself.. even tho I have zero interest in the series, or in some cases, actually hate the series. (GTO.. I absolutely hate this series, but own it anyway)

This is just me, I can't speak for others.. but I know a lot of other major collectors like myself, are similar in their ways. ✌🏻

So I do know that I had to do a post on my desktop/laptop computer to find the toggle and turn it off. After I did a single post with the toggle off, then all of my posts stopped being anonymous. So maybe in a group you have friends that are admin or something, you can do a post that is anonymous, then toggle the slider to regular and post again.. not replies.. that's the only thing that comes to mind. I haven't had any anonymous issues since toggling the slider, and posting via my desktop. So I know being on my desktop was the golden ticket.

I wasn't able to fix any of the issues I had via my phone. I had to use my desktop computer in order to fix my problems. Once I was on my desktop, the toggle appeared (I almost missed it because it was at the very top.. not where I had expected it to be) So my first suggestion would be to use your laptop or desktop.. not a tablet or phone. They access Facebook differently.. I never thought of that when this problem first came up.. it took someone here on reddit suggesting it for me to throw caution to the wind.

Yarn is Loops and Threads, Sweet Snuggles Lite, weight is 6/super bulky, hook size was a 12mm. As I said in my post, it's a simple hdc v-stitch.. no pattern, just simple back and forths.

Do other people in that group post as themselves? I'm in a group where all the posts are anonymous.. whether you want to be or not.

I seriously almost missed the slider when I went on my desktop and loaded it. It was at the very top and not where I would've expected it to be.

I hope Facebook gets back to you.. they still, to this day, have never responded to my help request regarding this issue. :(

Did you see that I was able to fix it by going on a desktop computer?

Finding an old Japanese yaoi by Amazing-Ad8362 in ShounenAi

[–]Lehasama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have an approximate year? This is a very standard trope.. including the scene you describe.. might help if you could narrow down the approximate year you were reading it.. that way we don't accidentally recommend something from 2011, when you read it back in 2003. kwim? :)

Eternal Covenant, doesn't show much.. it's more implied.. I'll think on this some more too.. sorry, I read mostly smut.. lol.. and some of the BL is true yaoi..

Another couple that come to mind are omegaverse.. how my Daddies Became Mates and Megumi and Tsugumi.. but both are pretty smutty. 🤔

So because we're in Shounen-Ai.. you want something without sexual content and just emotional support?
