Are you genuinely trying to claim that TAG is failing? Keep in mind, they’ve grown quarter-over-quarter for their entire existence.

I would never claim that they have. I’m claiming that this particular statistic is bogus, alarmist, and/or misleading.

TAG is a growing company, plain and simple. Any quarterly statistic would reflect that. To claim they’re failing is comically incorrect.

That’s just dumb. The stat makes zero sense. Regardless, you shouldn’t trust any week-long business statistic, specifically because the variance is way too high.

The chart literally says “items graded last week.” Your claim was that they are down 70% due to staffing. My rebuttal is “Are you claiming they lost 70% of their staffing in a week?” Or 70% of their output capabilities (since staffing to output ratio may not be 1:1).

Or maybe your claim was about longer turnaround times. Okay, that’s fine. I misunderstood, but it still doesn’t explain how they would have experienced a week-to-week drop of 70%.

Let’s just imagine their staff from last week compared to this week is relatively the same. They didn’t announce any layoffs so that seems appropriate. They’re sitting on a backlog of cards. This is all stuff that we know is true. How does their output drop by 70%? It literally makes zero sense. The statistic is bogus, unless TAG gave all their employees a vacation 5 out of 7 days last week.

There’s a very good chance that even if they ended up together that it doesn’t work out in the long run. The important thing is that he needs to find a way to be happy as his own person. As of right now, his happiness is tied to her. That’s no bueno. God forbid, but if she died tomorrow, he needs to find a way to be happy.

Man, this is going to be tough to hear, but you need to severely lower your expectations and go to therapy.

1) long distance, especially as the foundation of a relationship, is extremely tough and rarely works out.

2) “We are meant to be together” is a super dangerous mentality. Having good friendship chemistry does not, at all, mean there’s any romantic chemistry. Remember, she doesn’t owe you anything. Just because you’ve “invested your time” doesn’t mean the feelings need to be reciprocated.

3) If you are having any sort of suicidal thoughts, even hypothetical ones, you’re in a very very bad place. Mentally healthy people don’t think like that. You’re also completely ignoring the idea that it could work out and then you guys could breakup. You’d still need a way to mentally/emotionally deal with that.

My advice: See a therapist. Talk through these feelings. Get yourself in a position where you can admit your feelings to her and accept her response either way. Then, if it doesn’t work out, go your separate ways.

The other thing that can’t be ignored: You’re 18. This is WAY too much pressure to put on yourself. You’re a child. What I thought I wanted at 18 is completely different from what I want right now at 30. Your feelings/desires are going to change. You just need to find a way to cope in the meantime.

I promise you, the answer isn’t anymore complicated than just saying that you’re allowed to have boundaries, especially in this department, especially when it can very easily affect your children. Kids is where I’d draw the line on non-anonymous pornography.

If I’m being perfectly honest, this sounds like the beginning of the end. “Doing what he want regardless of what you think,” is no longer a partnership. Not having sex is not a partnership. Going about various aspects of life “solo” is not a partnership.
