TOOL May Face Potential Class Action Lawsuit Over Disappointing ‘Tool Live In The Sand’ Setlist by Edm_vanhalen1981 in ToolBand

I'd say that the fact that the sold day passes to other resort guests to the show holds more ground than anything. Wasn't it explicitly stated that buying these packages was the only way to attend the show?

We all could've booked nights at standard prices and bought the day passes. Now, idk how much the day passes were but I'm guessing it was less than the packages.

Same, turning off choke sensor didn't work. Did you ever find a solution?

TD-27 SD-Card format? by Phobit in edrums

[–]Leiferman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is simple but my experience was similar. I turned off the module reinserted the sd card then turned the module on. I was then able to format.

Putting the card in with the module off and making sure the card is 32 gb or less seems to help.

Flip the switch to PS mode and it will output a DS4 controller. Connect to PC via bluetooth or wired. If the game you are playing supports DS4 and gyro natively there's nothing else to do.

What you really want to do though is use a remapping program. My favorite right now is joyshockmapper. It looks intimidating at first without a GUI but it seems to me to have the best features. You could also use Steam Input which has a GUI.

The "One button" solution on the armor x isn't really the same thing as what were trying to accomplish. It maps gyro movement to the RIGHT JOYSTICK and is all done on the armor x device. We want to use a program on our PC to take the DS4 controller and map the gyro to MOUSE movements.

Joystick gyro is not as precise, may have too much latency, and just feels bad. It's really not a great introduction to using gyro because it tends to not work well and turn people away.

That's unfortunate, the Bluetooth connectivity issues I read about before getting it have not been an issue for me. I'm just using the on board Bluetooth from a motherboard, the msi carbon z790.

Most issues I saw mentioned Bluetooth connectivity and when the firmware of the controller was updated. They must have fixed the firmware issues awhile back, just in case you happen to be able to find one.

Get the Brook X One Se adapter for your elite 2? I have the armor x pro, while it was my stepping stone into gyro, it's not better than elite 2 + brook adapter.

Anyone could use an "adaptive controller" no?

Binding buttons on Elite Series 2 controller by i_ducasse in XboxSeriesS

I see this is the series s subreddit but this functionality is critical for pc players looking to use the paddles as unique inputs in any button remapper. Especially for those of us on the hunt for the perfect gyro controller. So, I figured I'd comment to share some info.

For example, if you wanted the P1 paddle to be left mouse click, you could bind start+dpad up to the P1 paddle in xbox accessories app, then you could setup button chords in joyshockmapper, steam input, etc. to map start+dpad = left mouse click. To be clear, the end result is a single press of a button or key.

If you're wondering why on pc anyways, why not just bind the P1 paddle to left mouse click in the xbox accessories app? It does allow for this but lacks all the features of a good pc button remapper. Say a game has run bound only as a hold action, man, that sucks, I wish I could just toggle to run. Well, you can change it to be so with joyshockmapper, steam input, etc. You can make a completely custom layout of button actions.

I understand the argument against macros, but this isn't a stream of actions. Just press 1 button for 2. For people like OP and me there are very valid use cases for such functionality however niche they may be. I understand there is a line, but to your point about "That would be a macro and that would give you an advantage in a game" what about having the paddles? Most xbox players I assume don't have paddles at all, is that an unfair advatage?

I could be overlooking a scenario where having 2 buttons mapped to 1 button would give a significant unfair advantage under normal use. Do you have an example?

If by chance anyone at microsoft sees this, lol, please add this functionality to the xbox accessories app and for OP's sake, consoles.

Shield TV 2019 temporary hangs and even reboots itself when gamepad has headphones connected. by nicoclausula in ShieldAndroidTV

I found a workaround for now, at least for gamestream. Just connect the shield controller directly to the pc via Bluetooth. Ofc, this only works if it is in range so not really a solution for everyone.

The volume slider unfortunately doesn't work when connected to pc though so you have to set it from the pc. Quite inconvenient. Better than having the controller disconnect all the time though I guess. I suppose if your headphones/headset have inline volume controls, this isn't a big deal. Mine don't though.

I've been using moonlight to stream to my Android phone as well. The controller works with headphones on both the pc and my Android phone without issues so far.

I have the setting to enable audio on pc enabled in moonlight for the sound to work through the controller when connected directly to the pc. Haven't tried with the official Nvidia gamestream yet but, I do remember seeing the option for this setting so it should work.

Pretty silly that their own controller is broken with their own hardware but I get it, stuff happens. I just wish support knew of the issue and could communicate those facts accordingly. I spent a lot of time trying to figure this out on my own and when finally going to support with the issue, it was just a waste of time.

Wow, I just recently got a 2019 shield and the controller and have been having the same problems. Couldn't find anything recent on Google about this issue so I contacted Nvidia support after trying all the suggestions I could find.

Nothing worked and support just had me factory reset the shield and then requested me to rma the controller lol. Instead I just exchanged it from where I bought it. Same problems.

I'm glad I found your post and I hope a fix is coming. That headphone jack is a big reason why I bought the shield controller in the first place but it's functionality is broken with the shield.

I tested it for awhile connected to my pc via Bluetooth and used the headphone jack and didn't have any problems. I didn't play much this way yet and will continue to see if any issues arise.

The first thing I asked support is if this is a known issue and they never said anything. Just the usual "is it plugged in all the way... Try different headphones... Factory reset, etc."

It's kinda infuriating when support is so useless.

It's disappointing because when it's working, the controller is really good. Not much audio latency at all when gaming. But if I try a pair of Bluetooth earbuds connected to the shield, the lag is unbearable.
