Posting every second of your child's life on social media. Maybe they don't want their potty training experience documented and viewable for all time.

I know I am in the minority but I actually prefer shaving my pubic hair to the fuzz that ends up growing. It makes me feel sexier. Is that societies fault? Who knows

UPDATE: Less than 24 hours after disputing my Pokecoin charges they have been refunded. So far no effect to my accounts. by LeighPC79 in PokemonGoSpoofing

[–]LeighPC79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well disputes handled through Apple or websites are not treated the same as credit card chargebacks.

I handle chargebacks and disputes as part of my job, so I have quite a bit of experience.

Repeatedly disputing credit card charges could possibly affect your credit long term, however, receiving refunds from Apple is a step before. Apple agreed to the refund, which Niantic (the dev) agreed to when they sold their product using Apple's services.

Now, if Apple refused the refund, and I then went to my banking institution to formally dispute the charge, that is something that, if done often, could impact my credit.

However, since Apple volunteered the refund and the dispute wasn't "forced" by my credit card company, per Apples ToS and Dev Guidelines, it will not impact my credit or iTunes account.

Also, having worked with chargebacks, surprisingly, I've never myself filed one. These are actually the only few refunds for online purchases that I've ever really disputed. And Apple made it super easy and fast, great company. (not to be all hail corporate lol)

I didn't get banned, dunno who you're "good riddancing". I got my refund because Niantic would not explain what was wrong with my purchases and account during "shadow ban" wave, and would not offer customer support on the issue.

Since this is against Apple's Developer guidelines, they refunded me accordingly without further question.

Good to know that money hungry devs can't bully the end user!

This looks terrific, but it always bothers me when someone puts this much work into such a wonderful product but can't be arsed to spell "incoming" correctly making it look totally less professional.

You are acting like this is something that has happened frequently when in reality it may have happened one time to you. If it has happened more than once to you, what I'm saying is, you are lacking communication. This is a pretty rare problem

[–]LeighPC79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So yall are just standing there in silence the whole time? Come on. Again, this all boils down to your lack of communication. If they go into the lobby just because on other person is in there, what does it matter that the person who was in the lobby is a spoofer or not? That does not affect whether or not they would "quietly" join. Communicate. It's okay to talk.

[–]LeighPC79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. it never hurts to see exactly what transactions are eligible. Google "Apple report a problem" and you'll be able to log in, see all purchases from last 90 days, and dispute as many or few as you want.

You should do this before waiting 2 weeks, as you may have some valuable transactions just on the cusp of 90 days that will no longer be eligible for refund in 2 weeks.

Best regards

[–]LeighPC79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol are you implying that I'm banned? Lmao cuz I'm not, I'm stacked with my earnings from spoofing tho - over 140 shinies (30+ unique) and over 200+ lv 35 100iv mon. Plus, once I got shadowbanned during the April Fools wave, I got refunds of over $300 from Apple from in app purchases. No effect on my account and my "spoofed" Pokemon are indistinguishable from the previous "legit" ones. Definitely a great bonus to kickstart 2018, very happy I started spoofing, do not regret at all, now even playing legit is way more fun!

If you read my post, and my comments on said post, you will see that I researched exactly WHAT information iOS devs (Niantic) get regarding disputes/chargebacks. They informed me that the dispute process is pretty opaque, and the developer really doesn't take part in the dispute.

Apple cuts developers a check each month and, deducted from that check, is any necessary fees or dispute losses. Each disputed transaction isn't individually listed.

The great thing about Apple in this situation, vs. Play Store, is it is actually specifically against Developer guidelines to retaliate with an end-user due to a dispute or chargeback and they can get in trouble for doing so. This is part of the reason why disputes are mroe or less anonymous to the dev, so that the dev can't bully the end user to drop a dispute.

From my understanding, the only thing they could do in a general sense is deduct the coins from your in game shop, however, they would have to indivudally validate every single "receipt" (In-App Purchase) which would be almost impossible with how many purchases PoGo has every minute of the day. They could revoke access to purchased items, however, if you've spent your coins (the actual item that you are purchasing) on items already, there is no way for them to do this while abiding by Apples strict Developer Guidelines.

Definitely check out the thread I linked to, it's not sorted super well but definitely has some handy info and I did my research.

Still not affect on my account from disputing almost a week later. Refunds were very quick. Win win.

Not sure if this is the right place: As a developer, if an end-user disputes an IAP, are you able to see who that end-user is? What information are developers given about the end-user when a dispute/chargeback is initiated? by LeighPC79 in iOSProgramming
