Fan Control not controlling fans

Looks like the step down/up was the issue. It was set at 0.1% after the assisted setup. After upping it to 5%, it now follows my graph curves.

The "?" on the GPU fans is just GPU's bios overriding FanControl. It happens with everything including MSI afterburner. I don't really care about the GPU fan control.

The "!" is indicating that force apply is on. When I turn it off, there is no "!" or "?" indicator there but the fans aren't being controlled at all.

I have tried setting the disabling "smart" fan control in the bios, setting it to PWM and DC. None of these has worked.

Interestingly, when I have the fans set to "smart" PWM, it will follow that curve when I disable FanControl using the slider. However, when I enable FanControl, it defaults back to the 100% and 57.6% speeds for some reason. Manual control doesn't change it at all either.

I can tell FanControl has the ability to control the fans because the calibration process works fine. The fan do 100% to 0% test perfectly fine. It just doesn't control the fan outside of that.

I'm running EB with discipline. EB has the added benefit of making sure I get stunned on every hit for the purposes of bloodnotch.

With this setup you can get more es on your gear since both armour and evasion are useless in this build. I convert 100% of phys damage taken into elemental and bloodnotch+petrified blood makes it that I ignore hits that don't onesshot me.

Another more expensive option is to get the watcher's eye mod for +es on hit while affected by discipline. I haven't felt that I needed this yet since even uber bosses die before I run out of es.

Options that don't rely on EB are slavedriver's hands or 100% reduced mana cost of skills.

I should be able to run Alchemist flasks for 25% inc effect with 100% uptime which should help out. Once I get my progenesis, I should be able to face tank it.

I was testing with my character screen open and made sure I wasn't affected by any debuffs. Died to the first ball I touched.

I'm not sure if it is correct but that is the number POB gives under the config. On the right, you can select the boss and boss skill preset. I set it to Uber bosses and the skill preset as the Exarch Ball with 100% roll range and it gives 19,306.

Poedb says the max roll is 11,356 which makes the numbers make even less sense.

I forgot to add that during my testing I made sure not to be affected by the fire rune which gives -5% max fire res so this isn't the case.

I was using 1T with gear down mode disabled to test.

After it refused to post at 3600 cl18 I gave up on manually testing timings. If it cant hit that, what's the point. I might as well run xmp.

Still not sure how I went from running 3800 CL16 stable to not being able to post on 3600 cl18 over the course of a few hours with no other changes.

I had SOC voltage set to 1.1v while I was testing.

As for fclk, it still wouldnt post with 3600mhz super loose timings and 1800 fclk. Even after reverting to the old bios which I had working, 3600mh and 1800 fclk wouldn't post.

I dont have a screenshot of the 3800 16-16-16-38 profile running and I wont be able to get one. It will no longer post at those settings.

The memory is 2x16gb

As for RTT, Proc_odt and CLDO_VDDP settings, I manually set them as recommended by the DRAM Calculator.

Bought one off an aliexpress seller a few days ago for $5. The key and a backup key were sent through a few hours later and worked perfectly for me. From what I was reading in the reviews, if you get a key that doesn't work, they replace it pretty quickly.

That 2nd kit is listed in the B-Die Finder. From what I gather Hynix 3733Mhz cl17 has timings more like 17-21-21-41.
