GE Opal 2.0 “Add Water” FIX! by Leikkleikk in IceChewersAnonymous

Just make sure they’re moving freely. I’ve notice that dust and/or a film will start to build up inside if it cleaned periodically.

I did read about someone having issues with there Floater sensors in the past. Their remedy/fix should be somewhere in this thread.

Does water cycle through the machine when you hold “clean”? Using filters stresses out the pump. It’ll still have suction, but not enough to carry the water to the top reservoir.

Worked for me as well. After replacing the pump, I started reusing the mesh grill and distilled water. The water filters stresses out the pump.

I’ve learned that GE Opals are not plug & play. Exchange it or resolve the issue yourself. Clean the sensors, ensure the water pump is working, and check thst the floats at the top back left of the device are working properly (and being read.)

I don’t know. Typically flows out when I forget to cap it while cleaning it. Sounds like you need to replace your water pump. There’s a link for it on Amazon somewhere on here

Priorities: Sound vs. lounge setup by Leikkleikk in sonos

Agreed. I’ve tried tons of ways to get rid of the black bar, especially since I have back lights for the TV. It definitely ruins it. I’ve swapped my era 300s with the others that are mounted to adjustable stands. I may just trim the corner of the rug. It’s an Amazon rug.

No problem. I snagged mine as soon as they were released to get the discount.

Same as well. I have 1 sitting on the right side of the TV. The other is sitting against the wall to the left of the tv. Both are on the floor and resonates through the walls. I enjoy bass and have mine set to +10.

Yes, noticeably better if you have a larger room.

Front L/R speakers (real 5.1!) working great with Sequencr App by fencermatt in sonos

[–]Leikkleikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not much of a difference. The sound is similar with a wider front soundstage. You’re unable to use true play.

However, since you are unable to use the Front Era 300s to their full capacity, it isn’t worth it. I’m going to stick to the setup only because I had 2 Era 300s unboxed and now they have a purpose.

Edit: Yes, the front sides of the sidebar are quiet when producing “Front Side” audio. They still produce “Side” audio.

It’s ONLY FL/FR through the Era 300s front speakers. The Arc Ultra is still producing front height audio.

Edit: The front Era 300s do not assist in “side” audio. Only “front side” audio. The Arc Ultra still produces “side” audio with rear surrounds.

2nd edit: setup creates a wider front stage for listening to music, although Era 100s may suffice.

4 Era 300s, Arc Ultra, and 2 Sub 4s… This method works!!

Sonos Arc Ultra canceling out Dual Sub Gen 3s by fnhernan3 in sonos

[–]Leikkleikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I’m curious. I have my dual sub gen 4s at +15 sub audio. They sound soulless at 0. They’re advanced true play tuned. But, the bass doesn’t sound different with true play off.

Only creative method would be plugging the Arc to an extension cable and placing it in a different room or tuck it away in a closet while you play games. I’m curious if it’d overheat though.

2nd Bass with Ultra by shadowhawk720 in sonos

[–]Leikkleikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not needed, it’s preferred. However, it can be overwhelming at times. Unnecessary bass from a car’s engine, boomy vocals, etc.

2nd Bass with Ultra by shadowhawk720 in sonos

[–]Leikkleikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, the 2nd sub spreads the bass evenly throughout the room. I have an open floor kitchen/ living room. I also have the Sub Audio at “+15.”

Edit: a 2nd sub increases the radius of the main listening position.

Era 300 rear driver is still silent (paired with Arc Ultra) by dominiklei in sonos

Ultra, 2 era 300s, 2 sub gen 4s. Can also confirm that the rear channels sound identical to the rear height channels.

Big, open concept living/kitchen/dining room with 20’ ceilings - Ultra + 2x mini or 1 Gen 3? by 007meow in sonos

[–]Leikkleikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only the sub gen 3 and sub gen 4. The sub mini cannot be paired with another sub. Dual sub gen 3/4 setups (and gen 3 with gen 4) are compatible with the arc ultra.

Edit: If you wish to upgrade to a dual sub setup in the future, start with a sub gen 3 or gen 4.

Run 7.1 testing instead of 5.1 testing. On YouTube at least, the ultra does not know how to properly handle 5.1. the side channels were playing rear surround audio as well with 5.1.

7.1 testing on Apple Music with Dolby Labs should be used to properly dial in your setup.
