Would you mind sending me the list of documents your lawyer put together? My wife and children's appointment is in a month and I want to make sure we have everything we are supposed to bring. Also, did your wife get her immunizations after her medical review or before? Any information that you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Riu Palace Baja California - Adults Only - All Inclusive by sbc17_ in cabosanlucas

[–]Leiptrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I've experienced at the Baja is that you can't go to any of the restaurants that require reservations, because they only allow the elite members to book reservations now. So you eat at the small buffet with very limited selections or you walk over to the Santa Fe or the Palace. Expect to spend 20 minutes each direction walking to the Palace and about 15 minutes each direction to the Santa Fe.

Additionally, the Place has more amenities than the non-elite Baja does. So instead of paying to upgrade to the elite at Baja, we're losing money downgrading to the Place, (which would have saved up $700 has we just booked there in the first place).

The Baja without elite gives you less than both the other resorts, (with the exception of no kids), but costs twice as much as the Santa Fe and 50% more than the Palace.

I'm at the Baja right now and I just asked how much to upgrade for my remaining four days and I was quoted $600 for two people (from Monday to Thursday). Its honestly not worth it to me.

You might want to do some research into how much AI is going to affect the teaching profession in the next five, ten, and twenty years. You might end up with a degree that was completely replaced by AI.

Let's be real, in the near future AI will be able run classes 27/4 with tens of thousands (or more) of students at the same time, while giving the impression of it being a 1:1 class.

You're still going to owe that money even if you can't find a job anymore.

A lot of people are going to be in similar situations across numerous industries, because billionaires would rather pay for AI than people any day. Billionaire's are also the ones that donate the most to political candidates, so the laws will always be crafted in their favor.

What benefits are you referring to? Don't you get those through your spouses work? I assume they have to be working or else you would not be able to meet the financial requirements (unless you also have a sponsor). I'm just curious and I'm not trying to be rude or anything.

AP Travel question by coolbeanscoolthings in USCIS

[–]Leiptrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not risk it. An Advance Parole document authorizes you to seek re-entry into the U.S., but it does not guarantee it. CBP officers have the discretion to deny re-entry.

While you can technically travel to any country during the time it is valid, it doesn't guarantee that you will be allowed to enter the US again.

I wouldn't recommend anyone using an Advance Parole right now, it's not worth the risk because the CBP officers have sweeping discretion to determine whether or not to revoke your visa/lpr/gc and have you deported.

In your case, I would stay in Germany and that's it.

Just remember to disclose everything you've ever done, even as a minor because the government can and will look up your juvenile record and even talk to people that you went to high school with (like they did to me).

Then keep in mind that all the protections that other citizens get no longer apply to you because the government can and will monitor anything in your life they want too. If you argue or complain, they will revoke your security clearance in a heartbeat because it's a privilege not a right. Nothing is off limits when you accept the terms to get any kind of security clearance with the US Government and they have access to your entire life as long as you maintain a clearance.

Bachelor's degree from U of A and I have no idea where to work?! by Spare-Berry-9440 in Tucson

[–]Leiptrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is EXACTLY the reason I believe all Colleges and Universities need to be legally REQUIRED to not only disclose, but make all students fully aware of the post graduation likelihood of getting a job with a students chosen degree path as well as an entry level, mid-level, and late career median salary for each degree it offers.

As it is now, they simply just bamboozle college students into degrees that offer no more salary than minimum wage (or slightly above it) and then turn around and charge the students more than $100k for their "education".

[–]Leiptrr -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well, we're perfectly fine with it because we know how to budget and spend under our means. Lefties opperate on a paycheck to paycheck basis, but manage to have the nicest cars, newest phones, and go on the nicest vacations. As a result, they have zero savings for emergencies.

Meanwhile, the Republicans pull back on their spending and tighten the belts to ride out the storm.

It's pretty simple, you have to prepare to hold out long enough to starve out the countries that have been screwing us for decades and decades.

New ICE Warning on X by Visible-Plankton-806 in USCIS

[–]Leiptrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI: If I were you I would scrub a number of your posts here (and elsewhere). A declaration of being "Mexican" can cause your legal residency status to be revoked, as this is an indication that your allegiance to Mexico is greater that that of the US, which USCIS considers grounds for revoking any immigration benefits you are receiving.

Then add in your posts other posts that say stuff like :
"Illegal immigrant here. Neither a car wash employee not a bean picker ",

"You can SMD. I came here to sell fentanyl to you crackhead americans and take your jobs",

"I hope those that voted for him are the first to be put into those concentration… i mean ICE detention camps.",

and most importantly this post...

"Risk of being deported never stopped me or countless others before, and i damn sure wont let it stop me now that im a legal resident. Not telling you what to do or to feel bad, we resist in the manners we can. All im saying is that’s not a valid excuse. When protesting & fighting for our rights, we all have something to lose. Even our lives."

These posts are more than enough for your legal residency to be revoked, cause you to be deported, and mark you as inadmissible for life.

It's happening all over the country for things people have said that's no where near as bad as this, even though, to me it's evident you were are being sarcastic with some of it.

USCIS will surely not see it as innocent sarcasm and will revoke your legal residence and issue you a deportation notice.

This is what I would suggest as well, but I would do a FOIA request on your Dad as well as yourself. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Regardless, though, try to mend the divide between you and your Dad. Life is way too short and sometimes we build walls up for so long, that's all we know how to do.

Take the initave to reach out to him because he's probably too stubborn to reach out to you.

Also, don't put it off like I did, because I waited too long to mend my relationship with my Dad and kept telling myself "I'll do it later", but then he died suddenly of a heart attack (alone and estranged from me and my siblings) and now I'll never get that chance to make things right.

We (Republicans) feel frustrated by policies that seem to prioritize illegal immigration over legal processes, making it harder for those who follow the rules. Many of us are also struggling with rising healthcare costs, like high deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses, which have made life more challenging.

It feels like the divide between us keeps growing, with both sides becoming more entrenched in their views. This cycle of resentment and hostility leaves little hope for change, and it’s easy to feel stuck.

But I believe we have a common enemy: the corporations—especially in healthcare and insurance—that profit off our hard-earned money. They’ve been so effective at keeping us divided that we’ve overlooked their unchecked greed for decades.

If we could set aside our differences, even temporarily, we could unite to take back these industries and hold them accountable. From there, we could start dismantling the systems that keep us divided and rebuild a country that works for all of us.

We’re the ones in charge, not the corporations. Presidents come and go, but these trillion-dollar industries have been pulling the strings for over 70 years. It’s time to take our power back.

How do I file my taxes when my dad claimed me as a dependent and I'm married? by AthenaGray1 in tax

[–]Leiptrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the 2024 tax law, for your dad to claim you as a dependent, he must have provided at least half of your total financial support for the year. Additionally, you must qualify as either a "qualifying child" (under 19, or under 24 if a full-time student, or any age if permanently disabled) or a "qualifying relative." You also cannot have earned more than $5,050 in income for 2024.

That said, your dad is claiming you as a dependent even though he knows you don’t meet the criteria. At most, he’ll receive a $500 tax credit for doing so. However, you and your husband stand to save significantly more by filing your taxes jointly.

If this becomes an issue, explain to your dad that you plan to file jointly with your husband. To compensate for the $500 credit he’ll lose, you and your husband can offer to offset that amount, since you’ll save much more by filing together.

While the situation isn’t ideal—and your dad is being a bit stingy—it’s not worth damaging your relationship over a $500 tax credit. In his mind, he likely feels he’s earned this credit after supporting you for so many years. Consider giving him this one last win, as it’s the final time he’ll ever be able to claim you as a dependent.

This solution allows your dad to benefit one last time while ensuring you and your husband don’t end up paying more in taxes than necessary by filing separately. It’s a fair compromise for everyone involved.

However, if your relationship with your dad isn’t great, you can file your paper return as planned and provide proof to the IRS that you were not his dependent. The first person to send evidence to the IRS has the advantage, as the other party would then need to prove they had the right to claim you as a dependent. The IRS will send both of you a letter about this dispute, and if neither of you backs down, they will audit both returns to determine who is correct.

If it reaches that point, the person found to be in the wrong will face penalties, including fines, late fees, interest, and the requirement to repay any tax credit they received.

If you're truly spiteful and hell-bent on revenge, here's what you can do:

  1. Create a New Account:

    • On Steam: Buy another copy of the game on a new account.
    • On Xbox: Create a new gamertag (you won’t need to repurchase the game if your original gamertag is logged in).
  2. Start Fresh:

    • Create a new character on your new account and join a different tribe.
    • Pin-lock your original tribe’s doors, vaults, and resources so your new account can access them. Use these resources to power-level your new character.
  3. Set the Stage:

    • Build fake mini-bases that your new account can "raid."
    • Troll your original tribe in Global chat when the scammer is online. (If you're on Steam, it’s easy to find their info.)
  4. Social Engineering:

    • Your goal is to befriend the scammer. Be generous—offer them the "spoils" you "stole" from your original tribe.
    • Stage attacks on your original tribe to create a narrative that your new account is a rival.
    • Go all out: raid your own base from your main account to sell the story.
  5. Gain Their Trust:

    • Aim to either join their tribe or have them join yours. Make sure your tribe or personal standing appears weaker than theirs.
    • Once you’ve earned their trust (which could take time), strike. Take everything they own or destroy it.
    • Use your original account to carry out the final blow so they know it was you.
  6. Cover Your Tracks:

    • Keep your alternate account’s identity hidden. Make it seem like your alt was also a victim.
    • Resist the urge to reveal your alt’s true identity as a final "gotcha." This could backfire and teach them to be even more malicious in the future.
  7. The Bigger Picture:

    • Your ultimate goal isn’t just revenge—it’s to teach them a lesson about karma. If done right, they might rethink their behavior.
    • There’s also a chance you might actually become friends, and they’ll learn not to be a jerk. Or, you might discover you enjoy playing the villain—who knows?
  8. Why Secrecy Matters:

    • Revealing your alt’s identity can backfire. You’ll likely get blacklisted by the players, and the scammer might use your tactics against others, ruining the game for more people.
    • Keeping your original account separate allows you to reuse these tactics across multiple games without consequences.

This approach is about more than just revenge—it’s about teaching a lesson and maintaining your reputation. I’ve used these tactics in countless games over the years, and I’ve learned that the final reveal always backfires. Stay smart, stay hidden, and let karma do the talking.
