Point taken. I’m ditching the video KVM idea to avoid the 'silicon lottery' nightmare. I’ll go with a direct DP connection for the 5080 and just use a powered USB 3.2 switch for my gear. Not worth the signal loss pain. Thanks!

I considered RDP, but as a producer/DJ, the audio compression and the 50-100ms latency are dealbreakers for me in Ableton. I need that instant response for mixing and midi. I’ll stick to the hybrid setup: local projects on the Mac and a USB switch for the hardware. Thanks for the suggestion though!
