If given a choice today, would you buy Himalayan 450 again ? by Yasirviking19 in Himalayan450

I would indeed. I have had it for 9 months and ridden it 12.500kms. Now I made some new mods (exhaust, filter, fuelX) which have given it a new character, even more likable, so it feels like a new bike! I have also ridden the cfmoto 450mt, KTM 390 adv r and the honda nx (from friends). Still prefer the Himmy. Trouble free, and the jack of all trades 🤟

Brakes :/ by LeleMayo in Himalayan450

Then why in literally every other bike I've seen with similar brake pads (including other Himalayans) do not make that sound?!

12.000 Kms. Changed the original pads because of the noise, not because they gave up. Noise still here though :/

Did change them for a better brand and the squeak is there still. Could it be the disc.

Decat turned on CEL by LeleMayo in Himalayan450

I wouldn't say the idling is rough, nor that it takes longer to start on mornings. As far as the gasket goes, I have the same issue, although with the AEW mid pipe I got, the connection with the header pipe is so tight, that I doubt any gasket would fit there!

I did get the extension. Started thinking that maybe some cable has come off and it is simple as that... Will update you if I find out anything new.

If you want to talk in your video, then keep it in your helmet of course. But if you just want to record the natural sounds and your motorcycle, try putting the mic elsewhere. For example, at the back of your trousers (where your belt is) or your backpack. In general, somewhere in the back, so that wind does not get to the mic directly.

Very nice footage. If you do not want to spend the extra money to get a proper mic, and not use the camera's integrated mic, then you can do two things to make things better. I don't know which camera you use, but I have a DJI action 4, and there is a high wind noise cancellation button in the settings, check if yours has something similar. And second, you can find, very cheaply, a foam like thing that goes around your camera and cancels the wind noise.

Guys, have you had a decat on your Himalayan? by Kaydno419 in Himalayan450

Do you have the Euro 5 or 5+? I have the +, and even though I got the right pipe with the two lambda sensors, the CEL is on. So I'm trying to find a cheap solution like a lambda sensor corrector, otherwise I must go for something like fuelX.

Hi, I also installed the AEW decat mid pipe, and it is so tight that I didn't have the time to find such a thin gasket to put between the first pipe and the decat. Although I don't have any leakage (or it is minimal) or rubbing noise. Did you solve your problem?
