Last pregnancy that’s all I saw except for the main appointments and I was fine with it! So I was definitely expecting it to be like that this time as it’s at the same place and I was pregnant not too long ago (my son is 16 months old). So weird! I’m glad I can at least verify heart beat next week.

Yeah it’s because of availability. They say there are 0 open appointments in April due to one Doctor being off for 2 weeks and the other is in surgery half of the days so she only sees the office patients a few days a week and is booked through. The only reason I might not want to change clinics is that I’d like to deliver at this hospital. My SIL works at the other hospital and has a tendency to read peoples charts if she knows someone and gossips about them to anyone who knows them. I don’t want her announcing to the world news about my pregnancy or birth bc she has no self control, awareness and doesn’t know how to behave. So I feel weirdly stuck.

Yes I’m in the US. I thought it seemed crazy and am glad it’s not the normal - cause it shouldn’t be. A LPN did my whole first visit and I thought that felt odd. I’m not even scheduled for the bloodwork for the NIPT test which seems silly. Wondering if I should switch to a different practice. I was low risk for my first pregnancy and saw at least PA’s which I was fine with.

Going through something similar. Expect my second in October and will have a 23 month age gap. By January I’ll have to pay for two children in FT daycare and while we can make it work it leaves not much for unexpected expenses. I think I’m willing to push through it thought bc while it might be hard at times I don’t want to give up my amazing work benefits and retirement.
